Also, for anyone with disabilities, I understand the system might be frustrating, but no company can make systems that are 100% good for anyone. This system will eventually go away, I’m sorry you have a hard time playing it until then but this system is good for 99% of the playerbase, and is fun for maybe like 70%ish. Overall it’s a great system that’s making flying much more fun than just pressing Num Lock and watching a video. You are a part of a minority, and that minority will be adressed in 10.1 with the release of normal flying.
Wow players are know to dislike certain types of changes. So yea the community will QQ. I would be shocked if they didn’t.
I personally don’t like it but I tend to afk while flying to next area. Auto run/fly is +
I’ll eventually get use to dragon riding. I will admit I just feel it’s one of blizzard silly failed experiments. I won’t be surprised if it goes into the Bin like Garrisons.
Well it will, Dragonriding only makes sense during Dragonflight. However it’s in my opinion a really fun system once you get used to it and know how to perfect your flying. At first it can look annoying and boring, but trust the process.
I’m totally fine with Blizzard implementing accessibility for minorities. I think everyone should feel accommodated in this game. For instance, in some raids that are on ships you can buy a potion from an NPC that disables the ship rocking back and forth. I have severe vertigo from a head injury when I was in my early 20s, so changes like this are really nice because it means I can access parts of the game I want to play without physical imposition.
For those who say the Dragonflight is triggering motion sickness, I do really sympathize. Instead of complaining how much it sucks, I think we should tell Blizzard we want both options – normal and dragon riding – without limitations. Let players choose how they want to experience the game.
Edit:
The biggest issue though is I think a vocal minority subset just really don’t like change and need hand-holding through everything. I once saw a thread complaining about how Blizz doesn’t teach you how to play Evoker. I mean, at some point you got to suck it up and read the talent trees, maybe even watch a YouTube video gasp.
They said they will be bringing normal Flying, but in 10.1. Not in any hard tasks, just not now.
Currently it makes sense to Dragon Ride. And quests as well as content makes sense with it. I think however some systems should be added so there isn’t that much motion sickness to it. I have no idea how that problem works nor how to fix it, but I’m guessing an automated routing from a point to the other once at max Dragonriding rank would be nice, and until then less shaking on the camera as an option.
Why do you think they did the Twitch drops thing? You think they want people to quit WoW and watch @half-dressed-girl play WoW instead? They hoped that people would see a pro playing the game and learn how to play and not complain.
Most of it has nothing to do with learning curve it has to do with not wanting to upchuck all over your keyboard from motion sickness. Stop being so damned selfish and short sighted!
It’s not that easy at all. Timed race to get to advance your campaign, and mouse gets me turned around going the wrong way. How many hours am I supposed to spend on one damn quest?
Not everyone is young, 100% able and has a great setup. If I can fly my regular flying mount, I should be able to progress past this one quest.
Twitch cracked down so its not as bad as it used to be, now girls have to wear a piece of cloth that’s at least 6 centimeters by 2 centimeters in length and width, or wear a hat.
Yes, it is. Dragon riding was incredibly easy to pickup and learn. Maybe you’re getting to an age where video games aren’t for you anymore. My mom had to quit playing softball, hiking and camping because she got too old for it. There will come a time where I will have to admit that too. I dread that time and I do feel for you. Regular flying will release eventually.
Also, there is an option to become a welp and auto follow someone that can help you get the glyphs and such done.
That is right, do that if you cannot do it yourself, not that hard. The small minority or people who actually cannot do it due to sickness are calling us Selfish for thinking about the 99% of people who don’t have any problems, which is kinda ironic.
