So much for the Warmode bonus

Be angry at blizzard, not the horde. Your situation was made to be crappy for months because of BLIZZARD.

Well to be fair that’s what has been happening to Alliance for the last couple of months. FYI I don’t care about the bonus I turn WM on when I am in the mood for WPVP and off when i’m not

Horde have been doing this for months. You have exactly zero sympathy from me.

There was an abundance of Alliance where I was. You’re crying drove off all the Horde and there’s nothing for me to fight.

If getting beaten by a raid in WPvP drives people away then WPvP is NOT for them. They should stick to instances PvP.

Might aswell go back to the Horde if I want some good WPvP.

Who would have thought that tossing a piece of equipment at players will get them to do what you want that easily? The carrot on a stick will lead BfA to be the best expansion ever released /sarcasm off.

Now you know how we felt ALL 8.0 long where you unskilled campers ganked us in 10v1 all day everyday. Ironic the horde cries when they get their own taste of the medicine huh? Git Gud scrub or get out of WM - just like you all told us on forums all 8.0 as well.

But WM has changed nothing pvp-wise. Since I started in Cata, pvp has always just been big gank squads camping single players on both sides. That’s WoW pvp.

Yaaa… Alliance have been dealing with this since the expansion dropped lol. Horde did make raid grps to kill alliance. At this point either turn it off, or suck it up and have it on. As much as it sucks, I understand where you are coming from. I have played on a pvp server in the past. It is a broken system and there are better ways of trying to get people to turn on WM. If enough horde have WM turned off this week, next week horde get the 30%.

Does it really only change weekly? That’s really bad. Who is designing this game?

I gotta admit, it gave me a few seconds pause while I considered it when I saw the quest reward. I hate pvp, though, like hate it with a passion, and figured chances are I’d get a 370 that’s not an upgrade for me and it would be a lot of stress and aggravation for nothing, but I did very briefly consider it.

Tasty carrot for sure.

ROFLMAO sounds like we are getting a taste of our own medicine.

Honestly, this is what it feels like to be alliance all the time before the buff to WM. That is specifically why they buffed it. But now the tables have been reversed, rather than balanced like they intended, that’s a pretty good indicator they buffed it too much.

It’s for the faction that is underepresented overall.

What we don’t know is how often they check that number. I’m going to make a wild guess and say it’s checked no more than twice a week. I think it’s highly likely that it checks on the raid lockout reset. Why would I think that? Because If it checked more frequently, it risks ping-ponging rapidly back and forth, and when I consider how broken their sharding is, it wouldnt make for a good experience for anybody.

Another reason I’m inclined to guess it works that way, is that if the goal is to entice the long term underrepresented faction to PvP more, taking it away from them the moment there is parity defeats the point of having an enticement.
Once people caught on they would realize they are back to square one, and likely turn WM back off.

Another possibility is that they repurposed the call to arms system they use to reward tanks/healers (and in theory dps, I guess) and what we are seeing is that despite the uptick in alliance in warmode, horde is still numerically dominant.

It could also be on a shard by shard basis for either of the previous guesses, in which case, all bets are off until we have evidence, anecdotal or otherwise on how well sharding is currently working.

Feel the pain of a 1000 deaths. Your time has come, we will slaughter all the Horde and build a new world from the ashes.

I always thought you were Horde… :eyes:

The irony of this post is pretty delicious.

If that is the case, the alliance are never going to loose it for a few reasons.

  1. Alliance overall have fewer players, so an even fewer amount of those in warmode.

  2. i guarantee you most alliance will keep warmode on for the first like 2 maybe 3 days after reset to get their quest, then turn it off and tank the number of players that have warmode turned on, on the alliance side and end up keeping it.

So many people are still going with the “now you know how it feels” when it isn’t relevant to the thread. Also, I’ve been destroying all the alliance I’ve found this week so it feels the same as it has been.

PvP happened in War Mode.

To avoid the faction that has the bonus, and thus the quest, from turning warmode off it would have been nice to see a requirement that you had to have warmode on 100% during the time the quest was available so that whichever faction benefits with the 30% and quest reward doesn’t just go out and get 25 kills and then turn it off again.
