OP, please do explain how this is an exploit? Cause I and several others in this thread don’t see it.
Banning anyone for exploiting should be illegal. I’m dead serious. Playing the game according to its rules and testing its limits should never lead to punishment, ever.
If the rewards gained break the game, then I understand removing the rewards or scaling them down somehow, and patching out the offending mechanics obviously. But suspensions and bans for “exploits” are effectively telling players to anticipate what a dev intended, or else.
Exactly. It’s not uncommon to see groups purposely stack one class for a certain benefit.
30 tanks … just simple threat rotation could probably make the fight far easier. Hold him for awhile until you need to pause and use some self heals, let someone else take the threat. Keep rotating it. Nothing broken there.
Terrible for progression of course, but I don’t see it as illegal or anything.

Its the end of the expansion, the tanks are geared up and all stacking strength of the warden with TD as corruption…
This is not a world first clear, and not everyone wants to stick to 5 classes that can tank then farm a bunch of corruption and traits just to keep playing those classes. Majority of players want to dps and i don’t see people switching to tanks only to beat raids easily and ignore mechanics.
Blizzard has tanks not get hit by certain abilities because their important and in scarce demand plus they have a lot on their plate. If anything blizz can just limit the amount of tanks that are able to ignore mechanics in a raid (like just designate 2-3).
If you know how hard it is to get good geared tanks you know how hard it is to get 30 of them with the right items for this “exploit”.
Plus as i said first, it’s the end of the expansion , they are not doing it to farm they are doing it for fun. This doesn’t give method any advantage whatsoever vs other guilds.
If they had done it to get world first or even just to farm the raids to get to get gear for higher mythic+ then it would be different.
There’s no required comp that you have to have going into a raid.
In MoP, when vengeance was a thing for tanks, there was a twink pally who soloed Elegon. He wasn’t banned for exploiting.

I’m genuinely confused… What did they “exploit?” Looks like they just used the abilities that were already provided in the game. And they cleared heroic… with massive amounts of mythic gear. This isn’t… really that shocking?

Would that not be a problem with design encounter? That would not be an exploit like extending the frost platform for Lich King, or abusing server transfers to buy a ton of gear from the Blackmarket.
Stacking classes has been done repeatedly. Tanks just don’t have to be stacked to deal with specific mechanics anymore.
