So many buttons compared to retail!

because your abilities on retail matter.

‘’ my frost mage can use all the fire and arcane spell too!’’

so what? when are you going to fireball with your frost mage? other than RP reason

classic is filled with random abilities that are so rarely used people even forget they exist… nature resist totem, mind soothe, searing pain…

on retail, I can reasonably expect to use all my abilities and CD in every raid or M+… even the situationnal stuff like Zen Meditation.

You never use Frost Nova? Cone of Cold? Polymorph? Blizzard? Arcane Explosion? Conjure Water? Fire Blast? Scorch? Fireball? Flamestrike? Blink?

Hey now! I used PoM, AP, a mana gem and a bandage while pressing 1 for Frostbolt 56 times on Ragnaros! That’s like 5 buttons I needed to top meters!

Then honestly? That’s not good play. Every ability is useful, and though you won’t see people using the entire toolkit in raids with regularity, there are good reasons to use pretty much everything.

Mind Vision is the OWN for BGs, and it’s not half bad for WPvP scouting, either.

Mind soothe is great when you’re running around solo and wanna skip mobs.

I don’t think I’ve smitten anything (that’s “Smite”) since level 39, but I certainly won’t forget it exists, and I offer to Mind Soothe on the regular when people want to skip things.

that moment when you have to include conjure food/water in your list…

yeah sure. Tell me how often our nature resist totem see the light.

hint: huhuran, viscidius. and the legendary boomkin-stacking WSG team.

I would imagine it gets really useful when you run into a group of lightning caster mobs whilst grinding.

Again, if your only assessment context is raid encounters, then sure. Totally hear you. I was just trying to point out that all of your abilities are useful in the situations for which they were created and added to the kit.

Considering its probably one of the most casted spells I don’t see why not.

I could have listed all the ranks too! Frostbolt (Max Rank), Frostbolt Rank 1, Frost Nova Rank 1, Arcane Explosion (Max Rank), Arcane Explosion Rank 1, Blizzard (Max Rank), Blizzard Rank 1…

The “look how many abilities I have!” crew needs to feel important somehow

Slam is excellent, but you have to use it as basically heroic strike for a 2 hander. Think of it like speeding up an attack swing rather than as a separate move.

I was running with a slam fury build till I pulled the trigger and respecced deep prot 2 nights ago for all the dungeons I’m about to do. I was getting great use of the move.

Try Sin strike, Sin strike, pause for auto attacks… Sin strike, Evis. Repeat

I’ve got 29 key binds

And then another 2 full action bars of other spells.

And then another 12 buttons in a ring menu, and then I also open up my bag a lot to click on food

Not sure what you’re doing repeating one spell, lol

When I got to pinto, I was thinking wth, then the for galaxy pulled it all together. That was funny, well done.

The mob would have died if you didn’t waste energy on cheap shot and kidney shot.

sounds like you just a bad mage lmfaooooooooooooooo

No really.

(I get it in MC blah blah balh ony use frost bolt). Ok… no crap. Did you know there’s a world outside those two raids??? I know right crazy!

Seriously just go back to retail and stop bothering us

yet you make fun of people for being “only level 11” and say their opinion is invalid itself? while alos getting mad at people for not having a classic avatar? hmm quite funny.

while stance dancing can be annoying, i find it fun as well. if i see a rogue mob running for the healer, i’ll pop def stance, taunt and run the mob back to the tank. i also go berzerker stance for when i need heavy aoe or when i think the tank can hold aggro well enough that 10% extra damage taken won’t matter.

while classic has specs that are easy to play, you need to think about how you can best use your class and that is something that is sorely missing from retail. retail is just “you’re a fire mage so use fire spells and what utility we decide to give you” or “you’re a prot warrior so even though you won’t always be taking the full frontal assault, you’re not allowed to do any real amounts of damage during those slow moments”.

That’s honestly my biggest gripe with the warrior trees, they are somewhat linear comparatively.
