So is the Simp Lord gone for good

Don’t quote me on this, but i believe the lore did use to say exactly. That every soul that had been touched by necromancy were damned to oblivion, with very little hope (or none at all) for redemption. I think this is why Sylvanas ended up the Maw, before it was called that back in the Edge of Night story.

" It is purposeful that we have yet to see Nathanos in the Shadowlands, and a reference to this plotline will take place in one of the cutscenes that has yet to be seen." ~MGG Shadowlands Interview

Are we talking about Clark?

I have this high suspicion that Nathanos’s plans of meeting with Sylvanas backfire badly and he is wasting away in he maw now.

I have a feeling that he is going to sacrifice himself to save Sylvanas. He will jump in the way of the killing blow, and she will pull a Team Rocket and yoink away at the last minute, never to be heard from again. Until…

That’s not true. The quest you’re referring to is talking about a Lich, “or possibly a guy who the Lich King is calling.” In both cases other powers have claim to them and the Shadowlands must respect that.

A lich cannot be destroyed unless it’s phylactery is destroyed. Even if it’s body is destroyed it returns automatically regardless of it’s desires. The slaves to the Lich King similarly cannot be freed from his call. He can ress them as many times as he wants.

"You’re right, you haven’t seen what happens to Nathanos and it’s intended. A reference to this plot takes place in one of the cutscenes which has yet to be released, but when the Chains of Domination update rolls out next week, then there will be a few revelations about why Nathanos has yet to be seen alongside Sylvanas. " - Narrative Designer Steve Danuser

Also based on Dev’s anticipation for later this expansion, Sylvanas will SURPRISINGLY survive.

Simpin ain’t easy.

Gonna laugh if Nathanos swoops in out of nowhere and saves Sylvanas from getting killed.

Huh thats a neat little piece of lore I didn’t know about. That’s actually really cool!

One down one to go amirite?

There are a bunch of afterlife rules that are only explained in a WQ locked behind the Kyrian anima conductor.

Being undead doesn’t make you evil.

Being evil makes you evil.

Most of the Forsaken are just people in Lordaeron who got scourged and got revived by Sylvanas. Doesn’t mean they’re psychopathic mass murderers like her. They belong wherever they earned being.

Woodchipper…excellent compost for the Queens Conservatory.

Incidentally 9.1 PTR shows that anyone personally slain by Frostmourne has half of their Soul condemned to the Maw.

Sylvanas got both halves condemned to the Maw somehow! Then again she was reanimated by Frostmourne unlike almost every other Undead who were simply reanimated by the Necromancers and Plague of Undeath so that may have been the cause…

Are you kidding?? Why put stuff like that behind one of those Daily quests? Man I didn’t touch those cause I can’t stand world quests, but guess I should go and do them all.

Also kinda wish there was just more worldbuilding like that just sprinkled around quests and things you’d do.
