The worst thing to ever do, is weigh the weight of lives based on number lost.
The real question is the alliance really not going to overthrow anduin for standing by and watching.
It isnât really hidden since, even though it takes actual effort, you can look their character name up on the ArmoryâŚunless itâs a âClassicâ character.
For those, I think they should show their armory as well, but Blizz does Blizz things and ppl can seriously hide behind those with no worry of being found out who they are. Not a fan of the âClassicâ posters myself. (Has nothing to do with Classic itself, just the shadiness of how they can post etc)
Yes because the entire Horde is responsible for the actions of 7 grunts and the Warchief who ordered them to burn Teldrassil.
/s
I mean they basically are. You, the horde PC, helped it happen. It only elicited a passive aggressive âfor the hordeâ frome Baine. The only person who disagreed with the burning strong enough to no longer follow Sylvanas was Saurfang, and heâs dead.
The horde in its entirety was complicit in the burning.
Except we didnât intend for it to happen. We were told this was to be an occupation of Teldrassil until the Alliance agreed to never involve themselves ever again with the Horde by combusting on itself.
Instead, Sylvanas tricked the Horde and pulled out the fire catapults at the last second to power up the Jailer. A lot of people were against the burning but didnât have the courage to speak up until Baine and Saurfang did.
Intent doesnât matter when everyone continues to serve without question afterwards. If they wanted the horde to even pretend to be redeemable in BfA, razing a zone should have been the breaking point, not threatening to brainwash a single human
Even as late as the baine rescue players are told sylvanas has the will of the people. The bulk of the horde remains loyal until sheâs baited into saying the horde is nothing.
looks at rebellion
???
Because the people donât know what happened or why it happened.
If itâs Sunday it must be Aviela
world history will always show if you kill off the victims then no worries. If not then you get global payment from all nations to pay into .org to help them out even if it happened 80 years ago there will always be someone alive to claim payment. All other victims are never supported because ones group pain is more then theirs and there is never a group for all genocide victims because of special class.
This is why I thank every Alliance player for giving me a free pass.
You may want to look a little harder. Saurfang gave up on the horde until the teenage king of the humans taught him about honor, and doesnât do anything of note until the makgora. Baine reunites the Proudmooreâs before giving up on the horde. Thrall had given up on the horde and azeroth in general until Saurfang fetches him after which his role is carrying an axe to Orgrimmar (which means Anduin is indirectly responsible for his return as well). Zekhan helps Saurfang escape, possibly with the help of the player.
Thats it. Thats the extent of the anti sylvanas sentiment throughout BfA. Then its time for the faction war to end and some nebulous amount of horde appear in dustwallow and even then its portrayed as a small amount and that Sylvanas still has the advantage
I mean, weâve lost like 4 leaders in the last 3 expansions and have also imprisoned everyone who took the side of Sylvanas and hasnât atoned for their sins, soâŚ
Iâm not sure the Horde is âgetting awayâ with it. There have been plenty of consequences for their actions. The issue is that the Horde isnât receiving equal treatment. Genocide doesnât make genocide okay, but I suspect thatâs where youâre going with this.
This expansion wasnât popular. Of course they will try to sweep it under the rug.
But then right after everybody flips on Sylvanas after realizing what had happened.
We lost 3 racial leaders in BFA alone.
The player is tasked with rescuing about 982, a very specific number, which I always assumed was the number of Night Elves remaining.
âChampion, I need your help! We must evacuate Darnassus before it burns to ash! Many of the cityâs structures have already caught fire. Douse the flames and rescue the trapped civilians within! Please, do all that you can⌠we must save as many lives as possible.â
'Many survivors escaped to Stormwind City via portals, where they settled in the area around Oliviaâs Pond, with injured refugees in the Cathedral of Light and Stormwind Harbor and other small groups scattered throughout the city. Other survivors sailed to the beaches east of the besieged Lorâdanel. From there, preparations were made to evacuate them to Azuremyst Isle while other night elves stayed in Darkshore to continue fighting the Horde.â - Gamepedia.
Jainaâs atrocities have still not been addressed. She alluded to feeling bad when she spoke to Thrall; maybe thatâs all there is to an apology from both sides for the evils committed in the past?
Either way, Iâm sure Tyrande has this al covered. There is no vengeance like a Night Elf scorned!
It is puzzling how the population of the Horde continues to grow yet they keep loosing all the wars. Perhaps we should use cold steel more rather than have them cower before harsh language.
exactly this. and afaik the only place we ever get âconfirmationâ of it being a âgenocideâ is from tyrandes internal thoughts about it, immediately after it occurred. which means a) she probably didnât have a full report yet on how many made it out or not. and b) she was understandably enraged over her home being destroyed.
which makes her an unreliable source at best.
people really need to start differentiating better between what characters in the game believe about something, vs what actually occured.
just 2 other examples off the top of my head.
arthas destroying silvermoon, obviously we as players know he was the lich king by that point and no longer associated with the alliance. however there is dialogue from npcâs in silvermoon that show at least some (if not most) blood elves still viewed him as an alliance prince, and directly blamed the alliance for it.
more recently at the broken shore, the alliance saw the hordes retreat as a betrayal. however we know from the cinematic that the horde lines had broken, their warchief was mortally wounded, and they where lucky to make it out with their lives.
now in both of those sittuations, its understandable why the characters would see things the way they do. but as players we know better. the burning of teldrasil is the same way⌠the characters saw it as a genocide, (and it was still a horrible tradgedy) but in reality its likely that relatively few night elves actually died there⌠aside for the ones that elune INTENTIONALLY PUT TO SLEEP ENSURING THEY WOULD DIE!!! (can we maybe focus on that a little bit as well⌠like wtf elune)
Wasnât that effect of the Sha?
