Play the one you like more because they’re both in a good spot. San’layn does more damage (I think I read about 10-15% more) but Deathbringer is tankier.

Death bringer is not tankier, they r both basically the same level of tanky. Death bringer is easier to play and will basically automate bone shield managment for you. Sanlayn does a lot more dmg, and yes it is the go too bdk spec for raid and keys.

Can you share your napkin maths? Both hero trees offer defensive bonuses, so I assume you have tallied them all up to compare and see which is tankier?
im sorry fam honestly, but thats simply not true, their defensive benifits are very comparable, in fact sanlayns might even be better since it is providing a large amount of resorce via haste.
and you dont hav to take my word for it either, go check warcraftlogs, see what the people are playing, go check the dk discord, go read the wowhead guides, they r all going to say the same thing. You can play either spec, they r both very good. Only major difference is sanlayn is going to do more dmg, and is a tiny bit trickier to play.

seem tankier than anything in the Deathbringer tree, which mainly offers 3x stacks of Bone Shield.
wtf lmao wither away giving twice as much bp healing, soul rupture, rune carved plates and deaths messenger. DB is inherently more tanky but less damage is the tradeoff.

Deathbringer is more tankier. You dont need haste at all so all secondary stats goes to mastery vers crit. No need to take bloodshot or improved heartstrike so talents goes to UE, improved vampiric blood. I would never suggest archerus discord or wowhead to any blood dk. Try find Kyrasis blood dk guide. He is best theory crafter also always takes tittle as bdk
UE is really bad, do not suggest it to people.
Kyrasis runs the build he does because he genuinely needs the extra defense simply to survive in the very high level keys he runs. The vast majority of players will never need a full defensive build.

Tell me why UE is bad specially for DB ? Because from bloodshot you gaining maybe max 3-4% overall. For sanlayn yes you bloodshot till you reach level that you need to change to UE. But say that UE is bad talent is just archerus discord absurd…
The discord does have a command pretty explicitly explaining why UE is not recommended for general use.
There is of course an exception for very high key levels, where the added survivability is extremely useful or even necessary to live, but if you’re just doing 10s for your vault UE is overkill.
3-4% overall is a LOT of damage to lose for defense that you don’t need.
you know that doesnt mean anything ? If all their theory crafting is only putting talents to damage nodes ? as DB you main damage abilities is Exterminate and Blood plague if im not wrong DS maybe does 5% dmg and heartstrike only 3% ? So my bad is even less then 4% overall damage. Ofc if everybody is doing weekly keys like you you can go yolo talents and not even try to understand trade offs and just stagnate 
Question was which hero talents are more tankier. Answer is DB. Runed carved plates (7.5 damage reduction) Soul rupture 5% physical damage reduction, wither away talent lets your UE shield bigger much faster. Also with Deathbringer you dont need any haste so every secondary stats can go to versatility, mastery. A little bit theorycrafting for you. I know its hard to understand because in archerus there is no info at all

Unless you are pushing extremely difficult content, you don’t need tankiness. You need damage.
It doesn’t matter how big your UE shield is if Blood Shield is eating all the damage you take first.

I dont need to go to archerus and read trash i know what they writing. You said Death bringer isint tankier, but in fact it is. To new person who wants to start tanking you suggesting worst info sources. I think it is crime
