Another year, another update for this thread.
We have confirmation that we will be getting a tree dragon representing the element of Wood for the Year of the Dragon.

The five Chinese elements describe the creation/destruction cycle contained in the yin/yang symbol. Creatively, Wood starts a Fire, Fire creates Earth, Earth holds Metal, Metal carries Water, Water feeds Wood. Destructively, Fire melts Metal, Metal chops Wood, Wood separates the Earth, Earth absorbs Water, Water puts out Fire. The association of an element with each year indicates where that year is in the overall cycle and gives us the sort of energy that’s likely to be a major theme.
Much has been written on what the element means in terms of individual personality, but one synopsis of Water would be “Introspective Artist.” I’m a Metal Monkey, and metal is described as “Driven Ice Queen.” That gave me a chuckle, considering the ROTC boys in college actually called me Ice Queen. I guess it’s pretty accurate.

Interesting. My sign is Water Monkey, so I’m more introverted and passive about interacting with people. It’s funny how accurate these things seem to be when you look further into them.

Another year, another Zodiac mount.
We’ve got our Wooden Snake, so 2026 will be the Year of the Horse.
Fire horse, too, of which we already have at least one.
They could just put some Pandaren armor on the cindermane charger and call it a day lol
I’m honestly interested in seeing how they’re gonna do the monkey.

Gorillas use the same skeleton as yetis/gronn which we have a few mounts of.
I dunno how it’s gonna fly though lol
