It’s their “souls” or what have you. Sarg killed them all forever ago. He’s the only on with a corporeal body at that point

Sargeras destroys their physical form and captures their spirit, and we fight their avatars and they reform right before the final fight, and off their spirts went to respawn in a far corner of the universe. But those are just the pantheons of Order, AKA Titans. Then you have Void Lords, the pantheons of Shadow. Wild Gods, the pantheons of Life. Naaru, pantheon of Light. And here is the weirdest one, Sargeras, the pantheon of Disorder.
The world soul was ported out of argus. Shambles or not, it’s safe to assume the same for Azeroth.

Aren’t their souls being broken in Antorus? Aggramar has an avatar because he was already bent to the will of Sargeras.
They’re all dead. As dead as anything can be. Drakka’s been dead for longer than the game’s even existed, but she keeps turning up.
Ysera’s super dead. Turned to a constellation dead, she’s walking around giving pep-talks.

We released their souls and their souls bound Sergaras. That doesn’t make them alive.
They’re god-spirits.

Seems like they get the same powers from the last titan, Azeroth.
I have no idea why people are confused by this. It’s why the players fight Argus and then they use up Argus to bind Sarg.

In their room you can see the little constellation-souls being tortured and hear them discussing it. That’s the pantheon right there.
There’s no way azeroth is gonna blow up the planet…

No they didn’t, they’re ghosts. There is nothing physical about them at that point. It’s why after brainwashing them Sarg needs to stuff them inside new “avatar” bodies.
Nothing is a mere mortal in this setting. Drakka’s an orc thats been dead for 40 years. Yet through time-travel or dimensional shift we just keep running into her.
But the pantheon was slain and I presume that diminished them to some degree. For whatever that’s worth in this setting (literally nothing)
