I’ve decided to give NB a try. I like it so far…
Goblins, they are greedy conniving little cretins that would most definitely consort with demonfolk and powers that others frown upon if it would give them more power. Also, goblin>vulpera and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I usually pick things based on aesthetics more than I do for skills. So, the obvious choice for me when it came to the Warlock I play the most, was to go undead. I have another Warlock that I made Vulpera. But, he’s demo for the memes of having a small toon with a dozen small imps following him around.
Stick to alliance. Gnome Warlock or bust.
Tiny little thing that looks like a demon himself in some of the awesome lock tier sets. And aurrounded by massive demons and yet he’s still in control.
I started my journey as an undead affliction warlock. After watching that first cinematic how could you not want to be one it was amazing!

Go undead and farm tier8 armor.
Did they improve afflictions gameplay? I swapped to it in BFA and it might have been one of the least satisfying specs to run content with, just the dots dont feel good to cast, its annoying all the tabbing you need to do to maintain, and it just felt strange running around dotting and doing not much else.
I remember affliction being fun to play in the past however. I liked demonology more but it was so much effort for so mediocre dps.
Short toons are the worst. LOS issues all day, every day, and you drown trying to cross streams.

They got rid of UA stacking (thank god) but the DoT’s still don’t do much damage. The spec is still centered around a Darkglare/Darksoul burst window. Shadow Priest is now the DoT/Drain spec.
In 9.1 they are moving some of the damage from Malefic Grasp (our spender) back into DoT’s so we’ll see how that turns out.

Ok so at least a bit has changed with it since BFA thats good. Im undecided if i want to boost (not sure where it came from) a void elf lock and never have heritage armor or not, since my lock is an alliance on a server i dont use anymore.
I do miss the warlock gameplay for demonology for non endgame stuff.

people want to play a spec that is about to be gutted so hard, nobody on the warlock class discord suggests it anymore for 9.1?

And the anywhere outside hearthstone location that is also a rested area for anyone is a nice plus
I gave undead a shot, and now it’s my current race for aff warlock! Beat out NB (Only got to 20 and wasn’t feeling the look)! Being able to be underwater without worrying about drowning is awesome! The other traits are great too! I went with the fresh corpse look. So far, so good!

I dont like to stress the fact that the warlock rocks, but he jus does,So, for all you staff users out there, feel free to come in and post, my staff is a good one, but here is how it goes

I leveled a VE to 50 to get the heritage armor already. Looks very nice. Also did the same with NB. I have them both with heritage armor now. Unfortunately, I have a hard time getting into the look of either race for some reason.
