I’ve never had actual Indian food. I have, however, frequently had the Japanese version of curry and I love that stuff. Kariraisu is a personal fave of mine.
Yes it’s currently bad. But we have a clean india movement going on to raise awareness about cleanliness among people.
Definitely!
I was working with information systems at the time of my visit. There’s a huge undertaking in the health and education industry to bring up the standards for everyone. It’s very impressive!
I won’t eat it.
I can’t eat spicy since I had my gallbladder out. It just comes right back up.
Might open a paani puuri stall in Dallas with my relatives when I immigrate there. People will love that I feel
I read the title as “I just tried Illidan food for the first time.”
TIme to sleep.
YOU DARE TRY MY COOKING? YOU ARE NOT PREPARED (until you wash your hands first).
Not sure what you had, but some things to try that I love:
Biryani - curried rice with meat and/or veg
Chaat - usually referred to as a snack, there’s lots of ways to make it. The one I’ve enjoyed most had potatoes, chick peas, and curry with veg.
Dosa - A crepe of sorts made from fermented rice or lentils. Sounds weird, tastes great.
Tandoori - Indian grilled meat. A local place here does chicken wings Tandoori style with dry spices (not sauced) that are amazing
For those who haven’t tried Indian, the spice levels can vary a lot. If you’re a vegetarian though you’re in for a good time. A great many of the dishes are vegetarian, and those that aren’t (outside of grilled meats) can be made vegetarian just by not including the meat and still be tasty.
Delhi chaat is the best
I’ll make butter chicken and naan like once a month
With your name I’m surprised you haven’t tried everything
One of the joys of living in a Pacific Rim city… the variety of restaurants!
I like making Saag Paneer, maybe Murgh Makhani
Sometimes I like to go to the local Sikh Temple and get some chana masala and rice. Just walk in and they will feed you, especially if times are tight and they don’t charge you.
I always make it a point to keep a container of garam masala in my cupboard, along with tumeric.
Indian food is sublime!
Murtabak and Egg (and whatever) Chenai mixed with Chicken/Fish/Dhal Curry is addictive. Gotta watch the calories though.
As a plantbased guy, I practically live off Indian food! Channa masala and malai kofta are my faves!
when i lived on Staten Island there is a great Indian Cuisine restaurant on New Dorp Lane. i typically had their aloo matar, chicken tikka masala and palak paneer.
I’m probably the weird one but even as an asian who lives in a tropical country, the taste is too heavy for me I don’t enjoy it, especially the spicy cheese thing.
Indian food is epic. I could eat it every day.
More important question. Did you punish your toilet afterwards?
