I honestly don’t like having to deal with two sets of gear forpvp and pve.
Idk about you all but i play all aspects of the game. I play all 4 of my specs.
So, that’s gear sets for mythic plus, raid, and pvp…4 times.
SL loot drops rates were so low, that I just gave up on it all.
It’s exhausting and frustrating.
Forget about alts.

he’s an individual who just kind of sees a popular opinion and feels the need to argue against it. he lives off of internet arguments in an incredibly weird way. not worth engaging ever. your roll your eyes and move on.
sadly, if this intertwines too much you’ll have BFA all over again where you’re forced to pve to even be viable in pvp. i also got a lot of bis gear from pvp for pve too.
im painfully aware of how he gets off on being a contrarian

This team doesn’t care enough to build an entire tier set bonus for pvp players properly.
I’d prefer that they make sure the bonuses are a benefit for pvp. The unholy dk soul reaper is complete garbage for pvp.
I want gear to matter less in augmenting class abilities. Design the classes better and revamp all the dead talents across every spec.
You know what you don’t have to worry about rng in the vault? Spells and talents.

Yeah, I don’t think we’re ever going back to this – and for good reasons. I agree with you. It further fragmented communities and made for a terrible experience for anyone that enjoyed playing both.
Playing both aspects of the game should only be encouraged and never discouraged.
I think everyone thought we’re gonna get the og pvp sets, oh well. One thing to mention is that they drastically changed what set bonuses were supposed to mean after MoP, when they just started to fix weakpoints of each class with PvP sets during WoD. Instead of improving the niche of each class in expansions before.
so keeping it on a stack theyre prolly just very very lazy and dont want to work on balancing each specc around specific PvP sets

Nope, the PVP set I was referencing is from Cata.
The PVE sets in Cata were much more interesting than the PVP sets in Cata.
Oh so you’re referencing a time when classes had way more depth and weren’t propped up by externals.
Pray tell how is 2s longer on combustion interesting, or even the CDR on fireblast that insane compared to having well made spells and talents?

Fun fact, that’s not actually cherry picking. ALL OF THE PVP SETS IN CATA had those bonuses.
What are people asking for, then? I asked the OP for a specific example of what a PVP tier set might look like but he failed to do so.

There are sets that will see little to no value in PvP compared to the rest of the roster.
Arcane mage (which is reminiscent of your cata example for one) and MW monk come to mind.
Why you can’t contribute to a discussion like an actual human being is beyond me

This gotta be holinka undercover. Farming two sets was no more time consuming than the system we have now, in fact it was probably less, because you can farm your whole pvp set in bgs or ashran or farm pve set in normal/lfr raids or heroic dungeons and be ready in a week or so. Now you’re behind a month or 2 because you didn’t rng a tier in your vault or raid.
