Glad you are here to set the record straight lol.
Completely agree. Should anything have been said? Prolly not. Is OP framing this as something different than it was? Most likely yes.
It still doesnât change the fact that M+ is inherently a toxic environment.
No problem. Glad to help serve the community by doing my part to be the voice of reason against dumb takes, falsehoods, and other blights against objective truth and reasonable yet subjective opinions.
False. The content actually demands synergy and group cohesion even, and perhaps especially, in the face of struggles and things going sideways. The mere fact you are stuck with your team for the dungeon without any way to get a replacement means it is in your groups best interest to work together to get through it.
The fact toxicity exists is purely on the members and would exist with our without mythic+ itself.
Can literally count the amount of toxic keys Ive been in on one hand.
99% of the keys Ive been open when a howdy or hello. And end 30 mins later with a ggs
I love when people just say âthis didnât happenâ as a means to try to deflect away from the fact that people are having increased negative experience with dungeons due to M+.
It is a weak deflection at the end of the day.
Right, this style of content creates friction with group members. Turning 5 man dungeons into raid style content was a mistake. This friction should have stayed in raiding where it belongs.
This hardly ever happens; people usually just leave if anything goes sideways. I think youâre describing how dungeons used to be mate prior to M+.
Sorry but youâre wrong here. The way the game is designed now, specifically M+, it creates toxicity. I play a lot of other MMOs and they all have different variations of hard dungeon content, but none of those games have a community like the M+ community in retail.
Blizzard has fostered a pretty crap community with the introduction of M+.
Most of the players that defend have static teams or guilds. Trying to pug M+ is just an awful experience.
I mean thereâs lots of things that could of happened for the interaction to have gone down as the Op described. I havenât done a ton of M+ (lack of time) , but I got dragged by some friends and the group had a pug DK it was like a +3 (one of the broker ones) ,
I asked for a simple âhey tell me if thereâs a mechanic I need to know aboutâ, no one did so I missed something and this DK (who was being carried) start just ripping us apart even knowing Iâm the only one who died, we had a Druid and I died in the last like 6 seconds of the fight lol.
How is âinherently toxic environmentâ defined? It think it is completely subjective and dependent on the individual. Iâve run about 150 m+ keys in season 4 alone and only once did I see someone doing a huffy puffy. Is 1/150 the bar for inherently toxic environment? If so, then every multiplayer game out there meets the bar.
When someone puts up such claims, itâs either an attention grab (woes me) or their ego is so thin the first encounter they have prevents them from trying again.
Trying to pug M+ is just an awful experience.
I only PUG.
Seems like you are just here to rage against retail.
Classic forums are that way â>
If you had said that they pounced on you for playing a Vulpera, it wouldâve been more believable than whatever you tried to spin up.
I play retail mate and Iâm allowed to voice criticism here about retail. If you donât like it then put me on ignore.
Same here I pug every one of my keys and people are generally friendly.
Iâm not your mate. And if your opinion is retail bad, blizzard made an alternative game for you. Called WoW classic.
I love these deflections. Any attempt to try to discuss the problems with M+ are met with âClassic forums are this wayâ
I guess people that donât love M+ are just second-class citizens around here.
Except you arenât discussing anything. You are making sweeping claims from a classic character.
Of course your takes are gonna be met in bad faith.
Low quality trolling or oblivious. Donât care to waste my time figuring out which tbh.
I think I am under the influence too much rn jk lol
for just a +2? You do not even need a brain to do a #2. Muting this. rename the game to World of keys. I donât get it. canât do keys anymore man.
Did a 16 the other day and a fire mage was doing 2k dps overall at 289 ilvl.
Vulpera moment
Iâm, quite literally, next to never wrong. Your opinions <> facts. You are perfectly free to feel mythic+ is a bad gameplay element, but you are in the minority here.
You can go ahead and check my history if you so care. Youâll find that most of the runs I got my KSM with were in pugs. Back in S2 and S3, when I played many more alts, nearly all those runs were all pugs. Iâve had many a pug group be a more clean and stress free experience than my static group runs.
Iâve also had my share of bad players and toxic players. Thatâs just the nature of the game. You can do much to turn the tides in your favor though by being very selecting and choosy with who you pick. For example, I avoid inviting anyone with an overly high IO score just as I avoid low scores. I donât care if they are looking to vault fill, Iâm willing to bet they are far more likely to brick my key if I donât bow and adhere to them since they know they can just get another. I tend to invite anyone whose super close to KSM themselves because I expect theyâll be just that slightly more motivated to push past the hurdle and get it and are going to be giving 110% to the run. I also avoid people with immature names.
The same toxic people who you think is bred from mythic+ are the same types nerd raging at ânoobsâ in LFR or cursing out people in BGs. They exist because the person themselves is toxic and they feel they can get away with it. I mean honestly blaming toxicity on mythic+ is akin to blaming white surpremacists on the fact black people exist. Like if those pesky black people would just go back to Africa, there wouldnât be anymore white racism.
I trust you can see the breakdown in logic on thatâŠ
