So, I cleared Normal without Crackshot

But there was another Outlaw with Crackshot, so of course the Guild Leader wants me to ape his talents.

And now I’m Assassination.

I tried out Outlaw today in raid (I was originally planning to go Outlaw this expansion). I had one fight where I did okay, but the rest was kind of a…mess. The big issue I have is the the spec is so demanding it’s very hard to play the spec while also doing raid mechanics. And the payoff isn’t even that good - it gets me to about middle of our meters at best. It simply is not worth it in my eyes. I am utterly baffled by the Outlaw nerfs - everything hits like a wet noodle. Dispatches are just pathetic.

I’m going Sin too. It’s way more feasible to play, and I feel like it scales better with stats so I expect it to rise as the expansion goes on. It just sucks that I feel like no matter what spec I play and how well I play it, I just get absolutely smashed in meters by warriors, death knights, and shamans. (Wowmeta seems to back this up - looking at logs, Rogues definitely seem to be struggling).

It’s mindblowing how a playstyle the majority of outlaws don’t like is the dominant one, for me crackshot should never have existed

Well good news is with the power of logs we can see that you’re not putting up Slice and Dice which you have to do once per fight and that’s pretty important so make sure you put that up, you’re also running Keep it Rolling but never press the button and ideally you want to use it when you have 4 or more buffs rolling because of Count The Odds, you’re playing Trickster and not using Killing Spree when KS is your highest priority spender, consuming Greenskins procs without Opportunity procs, taking Tea and not using it at all or randomly slamming your charges a the same time, not using Echoing Reprimand (45s cd), also you want to be using Ghostly Strike on CD which you don’t seem to be.

Don’t think any of the above has anything to do with you not playing Crackshot though you did try to play it on the first boss on heroic. On that pull you opened with 2x Ambush and then dramatically overcapping by pressing Adrenaline Rush into SnD (First time pressing it all night actually) before going into a Subterfuge window where you press nothing except 2x Ambush. Throughout this pull you seem to be both massively overcapping CP in general while also not pressing any buttons at all with 33 Dispatches and 39 Between the Eyes over the course of 7m34s.

Hope this helps!

No, I didn’t try. My guild leader shoved me into copying talents from the other rogue and I had nothing set up when they pulled.

Labour over the data if it really gets your calculator throbbin’. Doesn’t change anything, amusing as it is to watch you nickle-and-dime my performance like it’s a competition.

You claimed I didn’t raid and here’s proof positive that you are wrong.

Guild leader still wanted me to run Crackshot, so I switched specs.

I have SnD running before pull.

But did they fix the BtE Crackshot bug?

This is what I’m seeing as well.

Because Killing Spree keeps trying to kill me. There isn’t a single boss (sans maybe the second one) where there isn’t crap on the floor that Spree will dump you on, suck up the damage over eight seconds, and you get a healing debuff on top of that.

You want to know how many times I got webbed on the first boss because Killing Spree dumped me there?!

Trickster Outlaw is not easy when the Hero Talents actively work against you so badly that you refrain from just firing them off unlike Fatebound.

Coup De Grace also pulls you right in front of the boss, so Silken Court is SUPER FUN when you’re trying to dodge intermission mechanics, and you get magnetized into a cone.

your guild must’ve made bank off of all those carries

i might do a heroic clear next week with nothing but autoattacks to showcase it can be done and it can be a viable outlaw build just to prove a point. Definitely not because of being carried

i mean the point was, deespite not playing crackshot, your performance was still very subpar, these things are huge dps losses. if you cant use killing spree for trickster then maybe play fatebound? to not lose 60% of the hero tree.

i also find it amusing that your complaining about crackshot, when the issue is your general performance that this person laid out in a clear and precise matter for your to improve on.

btw the other outlaw is also doing alot of issues with their performance so :dracthyr_shrug: doing these things would put you above the other outlaw and thus make your raid leader see your competent enoguh in outlaw to play what you want

Outlaw rogue’s horrendous scaling with secondary stats is what is holding them back. The energy nerfs/changes were apparantly supposed to change this but funny enough it’s only made it worse, haste is still complete garbage for Outlaw.

And it’s already making an impact this early in the xpac when everyone has f all for secondaries.

Not to pile on with the doomsayers but it’s literally only going to get worse and worse until they change up Outlaw.

They literally haven’t even acknowledged it yet.
