I levelled a dracthyr warlock up 10 levels for the sake of getting tender.
Ill never touch them again.
Does that count?

I made a monk in Remix with the expectation of race-changing but for whatever insanely fishpoop reason, Dracthyr can’t be monks.

I made one, took 5 steps and said “I’m not playing a character that runs like this AND has no transmog” if it was one or the other, I could probably look the other way, but that’s just too much goofy for my taste.

It does make sense from a lore perspective.
The non evoker dracthyr were frozen before they ever had a chance to learn it from the pandaren.
Of course they could have gone with a different origin story for non evokers. But with the one they have, it wouldnt work.
But they’re not frozen now. Just like Blood Elves were not frozen at the start of Mists and picked up Monk right away.
At this point you can learn to be a monk from crazy ungle Worgi, the Worgen Corgi.
And your character, when they are level 1 (or 10 I guess) represents someone who doesn’t know anything, learning that class from zero to 80.

Yeah but the dracthyr you play as has their mini intro where it tell you you were x class in neltharions army.
You wake up with a history with your class.
A dracthyr monk could work in theory if they gave the non evokers a more open story, but with the path they chose, it couldnt work.
Unless Dracthyr got imprinted with that knowledge it’s equally as full of holes as allowing them to be monks would be, and doesn’t work any better. They’re basically saying nobody in that army was, well, a nobody. Every last Dracthyr already chose a class.
Made a Warrior, named her Gorethrash, got her to 20 for one of the monthly Trading Post tasks.

Not me. They don’t look draconic to me, they look like flappy lizards.
I instantly race-changed this hunter of mine (they’re my first WoW character, and have been thru many race/name changes). I actually bought the change beforehand, and then Blizz kicked me in the knee for being too excited by putting the changes on sale the day the patch dropped 
I’ve also made a priest because of the wing effects, though I haven’t gotten them high enough level for that yet. Might make a rogue and mage too, possibly a warlock? Warrior is the only one I’m meh on, mostly because I struggle with making concepts for them lol
Dracthyr are man (dragon) made so they probably were created to be x class imo
And I doubt he would have made dracthyr (his secret army) and then made some of them with no skills whatsoever.
But then again the fact any of them can be something other than evoker is stupid…
But even so, having them be monks in the past would be awful writing and their intro would have to be redone or monk dracthyr given their own unique one.

I’d of made one or two if they’d given more visage race options but… sadly they didn’t so hope you all who did have fun as I won’t be joining in. Truly a shame as the void wings of a shadow priest dracthyr look wicked
Made a Warrior. Melee seemed to fit better than a caster to me.
I did, but I couldn’t stop seeing how feminine body type 1 looks in the face so I switched off of it. If I stayed in dracthyr form the whole time it would have been fine. I really like the race and the perks that come with it. Visage form just didn’t fit me visually.
Going from Tauren to Dracthyr I lost about 3mill hp.

I have an evoker and she’s on the shelf. I can’t stand the looks of them, so I have zero plans to make another one.
