We all know, from the Alliance constant complaining about the Blood Elf racial and how it effected a small part of 1 raid boss in Uldir, saying “it won’t matter next tier/season” is not a valid reply.
For me, in BGs it saves time eating after a fight. Pretty useless during a fight, but once your side wins you can top up before a counter strike. It’s pretty useful in AB when the rezzers come back before you can capture the node.
I dont know what everyone is talking about with it being bad, I’ve been abusing the absolute crap out of it on my Zandalari Shaman.
In world PvP, Hex or Capacitor Totem can easily get me a few ticks of it with no effort at all, and the few times I’m against a class who has a ton of DoTs like a Shadow Priest or Afflock I could Ghost Wolf for some distance until the DoTs fell off and quickly heal up and run back in to fight some more.
In M+ most times when I need to stop and heal myself are also times when there is a ton of bursty AoE damage going out. But there are still plenty of cases where being able to quickly heal myself to full or even get 1-2 ticks of it gives my healer breathing room to take care of other people.
Regeneratin’ is so dumb. I wouldnt call it overpowered, but it just feels dirty sometimes. The cases where its useless are often cases where I’d die no matter what, but the cases where I can use it feel so unfair and cheap that I seriously wonder what they were thinking.
Its objectively better than Cannibalism in every way and is probably slightly better than Gift of the Naaru in a lot of cases as well. Its also amusing looking back at the Darkspear Troll’s Regeneration ability and seeing how that racial does literally nothing in comparison to the Zandalari one.
i find it annoying in arenas, especially for classes that can get out of a fight quickly or bubble. it either wins them the match, or it needlessly prolongs the match when i just want to move onto the next
