If GDKP was allowed in fresh hundreds of thousands of gold would not be getting exchanged. It takes years for that much gold to be regularly flowing around in the economy.
Early game a pair of edge master’s handguards will be more expensive than anything that would be selling in an MC GDKP save thunderfury bindings.

They will list a pair of edgies on the AH in phase 1 for 5000g or more, on purpose. Because they know people will buy gold for this item.
If it dropped for a player who says they are anti real money transactions, they will happily list their pair 1 copper under the other listing on the AH. Well aware 5k gold in phase 1 is not normal
