I am tempted to also level a mage and boost just to make you babies that whined about gdkps to ban them whine some more
Muh experience, there are people that are doing things differently than me and I donât like it lets stop them!

The bans are via player reports. One person reports a player or guild and Blizzard check logs. Blizzard said they have ways of knowing who has participated in GDKP. They will not reveal what those way are.
GDKP is now in the same boat as multiboxing (via software or hardware) , gold buying rmt and botting. A capital offence.
At which point the question becomes to what length you harm legitimate users in order to curtail RMT. Blizzard could stop all RMT tomorrow by removing all player trading from the game, but I think we all agree that would be excessive. So - has the impact to RMT been sufficient to outweigh the harm to legitimate users?
That is literally not what they said.
⌠which is a problematic statement. You canât force players to play like they did 20 years ago. GDKPs actually did exist in Vanilla but nowhere near to the same extent because end-game content could not be consistently PuGâd, whereas it can be now.
How does Loot Council and DKP fit into a casual PuG Raid environment that never existed in 2005? SR/HR definitely werenât promiment back then, either, when tracking such would require somebody to use an excel spreadsheet but now is streamlined via a 3rd party app. Should we ban SR/HR, too, in the name of preserving traditional social structures? And force all PuGs to use the in-built Need Before Greed system?
stop buying gold !
A whole lot of swipers are mad they canât pay to win anymore.
RMT still a thing, wow!
Who wouldâve known banning gdkps wouldnât change anything.
If you donât like gdkps, donât join them? Unfortunately the loudest voices are often the most idiotic, such as the case with the gdkp ban outcries.
I mean it changed quite a bit.
There arenât constant GDKP spam messages in chat channels. There arenât constant RMT advertisement site messages in chat channels. There isnât a completely ruined economy.
Oh but youâre one of these idiot sock puppets who thinks if any RMT exists at all in game like it has for 20 years that GDKP should be allowed in game.
I have a better idea. If we donât like GDKPs we just get them banned.
âAs a twinker who never graveyard camps levellers with 25% of my HP who are trying out BGs causing them to stop queueing altogether I can tell you that I am not alone!â
Mate, give it up. If this were Skyrim you could do what you wanted in your single player experience but this is a multiplayer game where unwanted external consequences of your actions are real.
Quite apart from the RMT that is rampant with goldcapped raid leads and MTs selling gold at bulk rates to gold websites who resell that gold back to players at retail rates, the big problem is that the flood of botted gold into the economy inflates the price of everything for players who arenât doing GDKPs or who are new.
Suddenly, everything from mage portals to demonic runes to raid consumes become too expensive for non-RMT non-GDKP players.
Also, you now have a group of geared players who can put a direct gold per hour value on their time. This means that a risk of a wipe from a guy learning to tank or a replacement priest not knowing how to properly MC on Razuvious isnât an integral part of Classic gameplay, itâs a risk of a wipe that has a gold-per-hour cost. Now its not just those players who get antsy about parses and world buffs and everyone needing engineering, their alt in Wailing Caverns bails on the run because heals missed the jump designed to fool players. And this go go go attitude pushes everywhere blindly and rabidly until people lose sight of the fact that MC is designed to be completed by people in blues and greens on dialup connections who havenât heard of the word âbisâ.
it had sufficient impact in SoD. The socio-economic aspect is/was much better then era and the economy is pretty stable with cheap consumes despite unintended other gold injection due to developer firetruck ups. the only people complaining now are the few that were involved in RMT and the occasional person who doesnât actually want to invest time into their hobby and were traditional gold buyers. and to the OP gold transaction tracking and raid id cross referencing.
Too long. Didnât read.
Summed up he said that RMT cheat lords like yourself ruin the game for everyone else
Too long. Didnât read.
Wrong, GDKP didnât start until WotLK and even then it wasnât common until Classic.
I paid 5000G for my original pair of Nightsong shoulders (way back in 2010) so Iâd have the 5/5 set and look simply magical in Dalaran.
A couple of things:
I still have 0 idea how they say it destroys an economy.
How does someone buying a sword in a gdkp increase the demand and lower the supply of Firewater Elixirs or mana potions??
In order for those prices to go up supply has to be far lower than demand. It has nothing to do with someone buying an item in a gdkp.
Wahhh people play the game different to me.
Just because you canât get invited to gdkp because youâre poor and canât carry because to parse grey.
Same could be said for Dual spec. Dual spec ruins the fantasy/rp. There are no more meaningful choices with your character. Swap specs freely and what not. The chronoboon displacer COMPLETELY ruins fantasy and immersion. This item has no lore. This item is pay to win in itself. You seem to only pick and choose what kill the fantasy and immersion in your opinion. But you dont look at the game as a whole.
Even setting faction caps destroys the immersion. This whole anniversary realm is not authentic to classic in anyway at all.
no. it is cheap cause no 1 is playing
Yep, population drop off coincided heavily with gdkp ban. Look how great sod is doing now lmfao
