Setting yourself up for possible disappointment. It’s certaintly possible, but extremely unlikely.
There are personality differences between the Alliance and Horde Pandaren leaders they both emphasize different virtues that drew them to each faction.
Why extremely unlikely? I would argue there is a better chance for it than against it.
I say extremely unlikely because the earthen announcement gives the impression that they’re the only ones we’re getting. Not saying they don’t have PLANS for more in the future, I just doubt many are going to be added in TWW.
My guess is they’ll add a new one in each expansion perhaps
You are saying that as if we knew the entire slate of Allied Races in the initial BfA announcement. All theyve announced so far is the content coming in the initial launch patch- and ARs are not a highlight feature like theybwere in BfA, so they dont need to fluff it up with multiple announcements.
There is no reason they would annlunce them, especially if theyre in the final patch(es).
Not what I’m saying at all. Please read what I said. In BfA we KNEW allied race(s) were coming, just not when or who they were. Blizz only announced ONE with ZERO hint they plan on adding more down the line
Allied Races were a brand new feature in BfA- one of the main ones, so of course they said more were coming. Same with warfronts and so on.
Theyre no longer an expansion main feature; theyre normal gameplay now so they dont need to give us a headsup like, “OH- we will be adding Nerubians next yr when we get to 11.3 btw” and so on. They can easily wait until we actually get the announcement for the patch.
Earthen have had nothing to do with dwarven culture and history, they are entirely separate.
WE KNOW THAT!
It
Does
Not
Change
What
They
Are
And since you seem to be harping on this so much, WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY ARE?
They aren’t dwarves, they’re not born the same way, they have no cultural connection to the three dwarven clans nor even the Northrend offshoots. At the very least you have to concede that they develop in total isolation from them.
They’re literally pre curse of flesh dwarves.
Culturally WHO they are now, does NOT change WHAT they are
Well their faction at large was never alliance aligned.
Yeah, we know that
That’s where you and I disagree. The Titans identify Dwarves as one of two mutational outcomes for Earthen had had become destablised, the other being Troggs.
Brann Bronzebeard hacks machinery at the Hall of Stone to literally run off Earthen from a Titan Xerox machine. You can’t do that with dwarves. Earthen are literally earth given life.
Dwarves are born, Earthen are stamped out of a machine press.
Doesn’t matter if you disagree. It’s what the earthen literally are
The earthen are literally what the dwarves were before they became fleshy. It’s YOUR PROBLEM that you don’t understand that
You keep arguing something that literally nobody but you is saying
The first dwarves hatched out of malfunctioning suspension chambers with no idea of what they had once been. Radically changed and evolved they had as much of a connection to the Earthen as we do to the hominids of the Pliocene.
To just call them modified Earthen totally ignores the gulf that exists between them and how radially different they are. Now posessing things such as flesh, internal organs, whereas the Earthen are more like the Watcher you see in the Dragonflight intro cinematic, small golems with self awareness.
They are modified Earthen. It’s the lore. I don’t care anymore that you still fail to understand this very simple point.
It’s not ignoring anything that came after. Literally nobody is saying the earthen and dwarves are culturally similar.
They aren’t. But it’s not changing the hard fact they are indeed modified Earthen.
I never seen someone struggle this hard with a such a simple lore point
Their skin is flesh and are no longer immortal. That is not an upgrade.
Nobody said it was. It’s irrelevant to what’s being said
They are modified to the level where they can’t be considered Earthen any more.
They are modified to the level where they eat, breathe, bleed, excrete, and procreate.
That’s a hell of a lot more than just a variant.
