So everyone's in agreement that the final bosses in torghast needs to be greatly nerfed right?

That problem is actually the whole design idea behind Torghast.

to be fair, these are the same people who cried into their beards until Silver proving grounds was removed because it was “too hard”.

I don’t know about greatly but a few of them seem to be pretty tough. I barely managed to do this weeks as enhancement I also got lucky with anima.

I’ve been solo’ing Layer 3, most times the boss hasn’t given me trouble, unless I’ve had a bad RNG run and have crappy Anima Powers

Not all of them need a nerf, just some of them, and something needs to be done to smooth out the RNG with the Anima Powers as well. You shouldn’t go through the whole run with no problems just to get to a final boss that’s impossible for you to defeat.

they are fine
if anything i would make them stronger. Using the correct buffs they are ezclappers.

As someone who currently hates torghast and who loves rogue/rogue light games outside of wow
No.

The issue with torghast and difficulty is that ofc blizzard muted runaway power.

You should be downing that boss but not every run, you need to snowball power, or they need to toss in a handful of boss specific powerups (something a real rouge might do)

Problem im seeing is that its the same 15 powers every run, and you might have a class that gets all absorb shields and random utility but seldom anything in terms of power. My issue with torghast is that im stuck, forced to DPS through a HP sponge boss built to be a challenge with runaway anima powers that my class just doesn’t have the privilege to see.

So the issue as im seeing it is blizzard, always terrified of someone having too much power in content, muted the one effect of rogue lights that keeps people comming back, well two
the runaway power effect that should happen frequently but not every run, and an overlying skill system to mute per game RNG issues (like every run you get 1 skill point per floor passed failure run or not so no wasted runs)

And these skills would be applied to some paragon system for torghast, and those boosts would be applied every run on top of found anima powers.

So torghast is lacking most of the rogue elements right now, and is muted too much on the damage scale, however many bosses are stubbornly built for the power gains that are not happeing for all
and theres no overlying system, to make failed runs build your powers.

So basically its forced mandatory content many are stuck on due to poor design.

Just make it optional and put the runebro’s stuff in other content too, and if you have a class that can clear the content cool but you wont get totally stuck if your class doesnt get skills to let them progress.

Real talk, Mort’Regar as a whole was just hideous. It felt much tougher at 3 than both of last week’s wings at 3.

Looks like some of them may of gotten nerfed anyway.

I’ve only ran into 1 boss that we couldn’t beat (2 man), and it was Patrician Cromwall or however it’s spelled. Nearly non stop interrupts are needed. We got him to sub 10% one time, but I also don’t believe we had even started our M0 runs last week. With the gear we got later that week, I assume we could’ve downed him.

But, I saw that they nerfed him and Cynod a little bit.

No its easy and repeatable should you fail and there is no time limit if you have to wait for cds

I’m with you, dude. Me and a buddy have stealthed every wing of Torghast and killed every Layer 3 last boss with minimal anima powers. Mortregar layer 3 got a little rough because we almost got overrun by the adds, but we kited him down the stairs and he was an easy kill from there.

The issue isn’t so much with the last bosses
They really SHOULD be a challenge. My issue is how they handled the Torments.

Mawsworn spawn needs a nerf badly. It has been the cause of more drama, strife, and failures in Torghast than anything else (using my guild chat as a sample size). And each floor, they just get worse
Well beyond the rate that other torments worsen.

We all face the same boss at the end so no its not a different fight and yes its easy. Did you stop to think that maybe you misplayed?

Being handicap in my left hand due to half my fingers don’t work due to nerve damage, I can’t beat the last boss. I tried 4 times now, upgraded my gear and everything and I can’t seem to save Baine, no matter what buffs I use and traits, he is unbeatable to me. They do need to detune the last boss in my view. It’s no fun dying all the time. This wants me to quit wow all completely.

mm hunter anima talents are terrible, like it is what it is but it defiantly doesn’t match up with other classes

It’s not the bosses its the bad powers some classes get.

I don’t think we should nerf. I think there’s 100% class based issues. I think Mages are severely gimped in Torg because of the nature of the bosses ignoring slow after a certain point. But not nerf. I think unless you’re a mage, rogue, or warrior you really shouldn’t be complaining about toughness. Every other class has a means of survival that those 3 do not have.

I mean, you craft your legendary and get your legendary powers. What else do you need? Don’t do it after that?

Proving Grounds was never hard
It was monotonous and boring and repetitive and made me hate the NPCs with a passion.

The fact people were getting their Proven titles even in Mists just demonstrates that it wasn’t impossible. I mean, even the You’re Doing It Wrong achiev was attainable.
