So... Era or Anni? Which Way WoW Man?

Just trying to get a sense of where people are going to be putting their mains. I’ll be transferring to era and starting fresh for TBC.

Assuming we can’t copy, what are you doing with YOUR main?

Sent all my 60’s to era. Leveling a new toon for TBC. Its a waste to send a geared 60 to TBC imo.

True.

Probably the smart play is to fall right into what Blizzard wants you to do. Transfer your geared character to Era, create a new one with the same name and boost it to 58, buy the cheap HWL gear and head into TBC

You get your cake and eat it too, minus the donation to Blizzard

No confirmation on TBC era or clones made me ditch my TBC plans. So I’ve got 2 weeks left of ranking and I’ll be transferring to era.

Era is dead to me. The Classic team can’t stop making changes. And that version was supposed to be the museum piece.

If they reverted to 1.13, undid their changes, and signed a contract swearing to never touch it again…I’d hop on.

what for? You’ll get good enough levelling gear in HFP alone.

Are we expected to believe that during your six month hiatus from the forums that you were quietly playing on Era, Zaalg? Until the final final final final straw that was Dual Spec and instant mail?

Always amusing when trolls switch their posting characters because they know I have their main ignored.

You know nothing about me, btw.

Do you want to play era? If yes then transfer to era and play something else on tbc.

Never claimed to “know anything about you", but you are incapable of proving you play Era and you mysteriously didn’t post for six months, and you weren’t forum suspended.

Those are facts and your defensiveness is delicious.

Since No TBC ERA is confirmed it will be Classic ERA only from now on.

I know you called me a stalker years ago and when I pointed out you had actually responded to me more than I had responded to you, that’s when you stopped responding to me altogether. Seems like you’ve carried this bitterness forward in your interactions with other posters.

I guess that tells us you’re quite petty.

My main?

My main is actually this icon you see here that now exists in a client I never wanted to be a part of.

My new main…

Is just going to ride out this trilogy and let it go to waste under the assumption that neither TBC nor Wrath will convert to era.

I started from scratch in Era when Wrath ended. I started from scratch when Anniversary launched so I already have a base in Era and can treat Anniversary as waste.

It has to convert to an Era at some point. I’m guessing Wrath.

What, Anni?

I’m not so sure.

The best logical assumption I can make so as to not delude myself is that we’re back on the expansion treadmill again.

If I’m wrong, no harm done. I can just continue playing Where I left off.

this :expressionless: it’s a complete waste

It just seems weird to me to have two progression realms with no end in sight for either.

In a couple years we’ll have era, sod, this one on Cata or mop, the other progression in legion maybe. Then probably another seasonal.

They need to start consolidating. Not adding more versions.

Blizzard seems to like to fracture an already small niche community into like 7 groups.

Should just be

  • Era
  • Era hardcore
  • Anniversary/seasonal that rotates through vanilla/tbc/wrath
  • And maybe something along the lines of SoM/Sod/Classic+

So MAX 4 versions. I’d be fine with dropping the 4th option because Blizz is incapable of making something good that will last.

Originally I thought I would just move to Era. Now I don’t know because I’m not sure what the Era servers are like. I want to be able to keep my character as it is but also move it to TBC to continue on.

I guess if I had to choose I would just go to Era. I didn’t grind R14 for my title to become “old” in the later expansions and I don’t want my BiS gear to just be deleted eventually because of TBC gear. It’s such a waste of god damn time to play a toon only to have nothing to show for it in the end.
