So does hitting Spacebar and move forward not work?

I’ll admit selfishly I did this for an hour and was logged off. Is there a change I wasn’t made aware of?

“How do I exploit the anti-AFK framework?”

Just kind of wondering if anything changed is all

The game has multiple anti-AFK measures… and at one hour if you dont move zones or do something actually impactful, like craft, or something… it boots you.

Theyve had this forever, I used to have to queue AV when I was ranking back in Classic from the Org gates and walk back and fourth between durotar and org to trigger the new zone so it wouldnt kick me

Weird. I’ve done this in the past no problem. I’ve got some ideas now I guess. Can I craft one bandage every 29 minutes🤣

Just sit on a flight path on an alt and go back and fourth from Darn to Tanaris or w.e. its like 15 mins each way and wont boot you for AFK. What I used to do back when Incendius had 5 hour queues.

I believe there’s a way for you to auto reply with your character in a guild with a “grats” or w/e. Idk if this keeps you from going afk but I’ve heard it does.

I don’t know the name of the addon.

Ummm yeah I would 100% advise you to not do anything “automated” to try and prevent getting booted.

Ive read enough AFK AV complaint threads for my lifetime.

I usually jump, walk around, and cast something.

If ever they were going to make a stealth change to be more aggressive about detecting AFK players, I suppose it would be now… so yea, proceed with caution

Some keyboads/mice have programable keys. You can set an interval, like “w a s d space” then wait some time and repeat.

As someone who’s camped rares for hours, even if you never officially get afk status you’ll still get logged out in about 40-50 minutes. Moving the mouse or slight wasd movements don’t prevent this, but I’ve found generally moving back and forth in a 10-15 foot radius does. Casting spells might help too.
It seems to have some sort of minimum action requirement.

Yes, along with phase2 tbc they launched it to stop botting. Now if you repeatedly drop the afk flag it will move to a stealth DC. Even if your actively whispering and organizing a group from shatt. Best work around seems to be killing critters to enter/exit combat, or just killing a random monster every 10-15 minutes again to enter/exit combat. To my knowledge this has never affected a single bot, but is highly annoying when you lose whisper history consistently for being in a city too long. Absolute clowns.
