As to the OP, yes, you need to finish it on one character. I did it on my early evoker, got her to 70, played with her a bit then bailed as I don’t like the playstyle.

It’s really more like 3 zones. The last zone is where the capital city is and is mostly endgame stuff to begin with.
I did Loremaster when I leveled my first character and I do remember hating Azure Span because I gained nothing from it, but it was just that zone, not 3 of 4.
One that comes to mind is the arena in Oh’naran Plains. It opens a world quest afterwards that will not show up if you haven’t done that little chain.
I think there are others but the specifics escape me at the moment.

I would suggest checking Wowhead or Icy veins and such like for guides.

No. You were given correct information. Such things are on those two websites. Moreso on Wowhead. There was nothing smug about it. Not liking the fact that someone didn’t link a specific page doesn’t make them smug.
