So on AtlasLoot it says that the Dark Iron +Fire Resist plate gear that blacksmiths can craft won’t even be available until Phase 3? At that point people won’t even be doing MC anymore. It seems a little bit unreasonable that the gear that was literally created for tanks to use for MC isn’t even available when the raid itself is being run.
Before anyone goes on about a “BiS” fire resist set and how you don’t need armor, only fire resist… I’m well aware of that. You’ll find me dead before you find me walking around on my warrior with some mail or leather gear. We are purely talking from a common sense perspective here.
Why is this not available yet? People are already at Honored with Thorium Brotherhood and beyond. It only make sense to have the gear that was created for tanking MC be available for crafting if the raid itself is… rant over.

You’re aware Phase 3 coincides with BWL, where there be dragons. Dragons who like to spew hot substances, like… fire. Correct?

Some of it is available, and the sectional release of it mirrors vanilla.
The later HALF of the plans weren’t available until BWL released.
You need more FR in BWL than MC and that’s the vanilla time line.
MC will always be raided regardless of phase. Many items in MC will not be replaced until well into AQ and Naxx (not to mention tanks will be after their bindings). Also forgot that Classic doesnt make content obselete as new content comes out. A fresh player or alt that just hit 60 will need gear from MC before they can really participate in BWL, and then gear from BWL before they go into AQ and so on.
So while i think that the FR gear may be locked behind P3, many tanks/alts will be interested in it when P3 drops
You realize that a good bit of dark iron is available now, right? My tank has 4 pieces of crafted stuff for FR and I’m easily at the FR cap
Are the 4 pieces you have Dark Iron pieces? I’m 300 BS and only have the recipes for Braces and Plate.
