In the Maw there is a river of souls being sucked in to empower the Jailor or something, and the souls are lamenting as they pass by. Some of them say something like “But Sylvanas promised me…!” as they fly by. I need to go back there and get a screenshot.

Other than rp at the time, yes. This is an mmorpg, not a single player rpg. They have to have the same overarching story for all players.

I had no choice in helping the horde, even after Southshore, Gilneas, Theramore, Broken Shore and Teldrassil.
I had no choice in letting the Horde get away with impunity from another gratuitous and neurotic aggression against the alliance, even after Anduin made a sincere effort to try to reach a point in common with the horde, and going against the doubts and interests of other leaders of the alliance, resulting in a fracture in our union at the end of the fourth war.
Now it is time to put an end to the corpse bride’s majordomo.
but not with all the evidence that they were used to do something vile, several members of the horde continue to wish to help a villain and her associates by not responding to justice, like minions happy to help and collaborate in actions that have even hurt their own faction.

The genre has already established this as false.
I am receptive to the idea of loyalists being named adds that spawn, and we cut down at the same time that we do Nathanos. That would make the entire encounter have more resonance IMHO.

He does a debuff that anyone who chose it gets a free for all PvP marker placed on them or he could MC all the loyalists as a phase change.
Blizzard doesnt care about concise lore, they just randomly shove in themed thing, sell books about it out of the game and make tons of absurdly ridiculous plotholes.
Shadowlands is just another WoD, a lot of nonsense, barely any real explanation and most npcs in the storylines feel like factory workers with zero info, nothing makes sense.
Unless there is a massive plot reveal on .2 or .3, which i highly doubt considering how terrible lore have been since WoD and the game philosophy changed drastically, playerbase gonna be eating a whole ton of nonsense.

We used to have IC ceremonies for this in Silvermoon on my server. There was a Sin’dorei supremacist RPer GM that RP’d as a general. People in his guild that were retiring their characters would have them killed off via public execution. These were HUGE events. The whole server really got into it. That was back during Cata and MOP. People don’t do that anymore.
I hear you. Used to run with a Twilight Cult guild and we’d frequently go into Silvermoon to shout Old God propaganda during the Cataclysm. Then a couple loudmouths on Tumblr who got kicked from the guild for drama-making, started making up completely false BS about the members. Even worse they tried after a few years to try to cozy up to the GM’s wife who played strictly Alliance-side.

On a happier note we may be rebuilding the old crew. I talked to a couple former members and there seems to be a vested interest from most of them to move forward, even if the original GM bailed. Feel free to ping me in game if you want to brainstorm or the like Arwen.

You just proved your statement wrong by stating that you in fact know the true story to that, not what the “winners” wanted you to know.

You could be right, but I’m not giving Blizzard writers the benefit of the doubt anymore.
I didnt like Nathan-kun even when I took his orders. He may have been super stressed but that was no way to treat me!
Maybe he was just trying to be Tsundere but still! Can’t wait to kill him.
im a loyalist ( still ) however, blizzard stated " loyalists got burned when she said they are nothing "
so thats our story being wrapped up.
