So... are we going to start receiving more Anima for regular activities eventually?

How many players are actually doing all the Anima WQs every day though? I only have 3-5 hours a day to play at best and I’d rather spend it doing more interesting things than grinding Artifact Power 3.0.

Anima can be gathered from WQs, World Bosses, the Transport Network mushroom in Night Fae, PVP, rewards for the Weekly Quests in Oribos - what other “regular activities” are you referring to?

It’s interesting that you refer to it as Artifact Power 3.0, since it is clearly not connected to player power in any way.

Edit: I guess you can use it to upgrade the covenant gear if that is what you are using.

But still not similar to actual artifact or azerite powers.

They are asking for more anima as a reward for each of these activities. As of right now, the reward amount seems low overall.

I’d like a treasure chest in my covenant hall, where anima just builds up organically. Thanks, maybe 2k a day.

Seriously though, at the very least maybe a 250 source everyday. Like one WQ up every day that offers the 250.

I really dont wanna go around like a crackhead doing every anima quest available i think they tied to many things to anima hence the reason they are not being generous with it.

I was exited to upgrade my Covenant but after I realized the grind behind it and being locked out of upgrading anyway because of souls, I just stopped caring.

If they ever do a catchup mechanic, I’ll just wait for that.

I’d have to be fairly drunk to want to go around doing all the WQs without feeling like I’m forcing myself to do them.

I think Blizz should significantly buff Anima rewarded from M+ dungeons and raid bosses. 35 anima from an entire dungeon or 35 anima from a raid boss is way too low.

I don’t like Blizzard’s design philosophy of “Let’s make a currency with only one truly effective way to get it.”

Sure, you can get 35 Anima from an entire dungeon or 35 anima from a raid boss, but it is clear that WQs are the most abundant and efficient source of Anima. If you don’t like doing WQs then all other options for Anima is barely a drip-feed.

Soul Ash is the same way.

Give players multiple, roughly equally effective ways to get the resource so that players hopefully choose the method they find most fun rather than being shoehorned into an activity they don’t enjoy.

it would be nice, but I doubt it.
I assume Sanctum is meant to be up’d throughout the xpac and not just in 9.0

If you’re an active player, you can get 1,000+ /day if you do all daily activities.
I just saved up 25,000 anima to get myself a tmog set.

I’d imagine, we will be running around by 9.1 with too much anima on nothing to spend it on.

My problem is that the implementation does not match the lore.

The quests establish that anima is coin of the realm for SL; that the supply of anima has slowed; that people are willing to go to war over it; and that even the flora and fauna of SL depend on anima (the starving animals in Reven and Bastion, for example). Everyone is fiending for anima, like one giant gas pump running dry.

But then I have some moron in my sanctum who sells me COSMETICS for 5k+ per piece. "Hey, I know anima is a scarce commodity and we should probably be using it to reinforce the seat of our power here but… I’ll sell you what is essentially a luchador mask (with no stats) for 6,000 anima that would take weeks to acquire! "

pay 10 anima for table mission, win 30
One piece of transmog is 3000

If you do enough Campaign Adventures you can get 40! Lol

Sanctum upgrades are mostly gated by Souls in the maw.

There’s nothing anyone needs from any rank 3 building. It’s all just cosmetics or some perk. The anima conductor is the only one that might get you player power if you don’t have your legendary memories yet.

It’s meant to be long term investment.

I think Torghast should give Anima drops.

They’ve designed it so that you are on a grind of sorts, little mini grinds if you want to get more of something.

You do X, to upgrade Y, which increases Z.
Rinse and repeat.

They’ve somehow made playing this game for me, more annoying and slow.

And there are Achievements that can’t be completed until an upgrade is made.

I really don’t like the little drips and dabs of anima you get now. If you’re running a mission table, that’s a pretty constant drain on your anima. Never mind the drain caused by the anima channeling spots. So yes, I sure feel like some kind of increase in anima rewards would be nice. Just enough so that doing stuff doesn’t feel like quite so much of a chore.

It’s not a grind, it’s a waiting game for souls.

If I could grind souls, I would be happy.

The Venthyr campaign is locked behind unlocking the Portal Network.
