I might actually go back to shadow priest they look amazing! I wish blizzard would give all spec that kind of treatment.
Although I would really miss my tanking spec.

If it results in us eventually getting an overhaul like Enh and SPriest did then Iâm all for it at this point. I sincerely hope our spec gets that kind of attention before beta endsâŚ

While I think thereâs a decent chance Ret is not so great on launch and thereâs some valid reason to be concerned, it doesnât share the fundamental issues Shadow had so I donât think thatâs a good comparison. Things like extremely long ramp-up time, no âburstâ or priority damage, extremely punished for any disruption or downtime, all of which were caused by the âcoreâ mechanic of the spec which was voidform.
Not saying Ret doesnât have issues, it has many and they need attention, my point is that itâs not a good comparison to Shadow because the issues are not at the core or foundation of the spec. Ret needs tweak and adjustments, many of them, and some attention to the talent tree, but not really a complete re-work imo.
Poor mobility, dead talents, retribution aura, lackluster covenant abilities all of those are valid concerns for Ret, so yes, many issues that need attention, but the fundamentals is a simple builder/spender model with strong cooldown windows, this might not be enjoyable to everyone but itâs a proven system that works (I mean most classes follow the builder/spender model).
Edit: To add a bit to this, I really wish that instead of all the time and resources directed at covenant abilities and borrowed power they would just do a real design pass on every spec and their talent tree, most specs donât really need a full rework like Shadow but removing dead talents while introducing new cool stuff to âreplaceâ it in the talent tree would be far more exciting than all the covenant abilities (which we can only choose one).
I really donât get how can they justify âaddingâ so much borrowed power stuff while every spec in the game has had multiple dead or unused talents for years.

Your class being worse doesnât mean we should just sit back and accept the problems of ours. Thereâs no reason we canât both ask for our problems to be fixed.
The real sad part is how selfish you sound. Stop being selfish, every class that needs attention should get it, not just yours, so go back to the shaman forums and ask for your own fixes instead of coming here and complaining about us asking for ours, the former is a productive use of your time, the latter is not.

You dont need attention dude you want attention you want buffs shamans need attention you literally said it yourself anyone feel like your becoming the new shaman atleast you have the options currently I however dont have them currently and am only receiving them from systems they are releasing that everyone else gets
No, we need attention, particularly in mobility but our defensives are lopsided as well (far too strong in 1v1, far too weak in group PvP). You may need attention a bit more than we do, but it doesnât mean we donât need attention.
Now go back to your own forums and do something productive instead of whining at us for daring to voice our concerns about our own spec.

What your asking for is to remove the one weakness the class has what you are asking doesnât fix the problem Iâm almost positive that the real problem you have is more of the meta casters and ranged characters that actually do well against your class with a better mobility so instead of asking for ways to deal with that specific problem you want to completely abolish all problems of movement to make it so the classes like current shadow priest or shaman have more issues against the class you play donât think just because your weak someplace that improves the problem by buffing it I donât want shaman broken op I just wanna see viability
You clearly donât play Ret, so you donât have a clue what weâre asking for at all. Iâm done trying to convince someone as self centered as you that us asking for our concerns to be addressed doesnât take anything away from your class, so bog off, or keep whining into the void, I donât care.
why do people overlook windwalker so much? i know itâs because nobody plays it but i think theyâve got it worse off compared to specs like ret or enh

I been away from WOW for a while and coming back with Ret which has been my kind of Pally for many years aside from when I had a DK, Its decent in PVE but when you start looking at abilities and attributes, it seems well made only for PVE, PVP it lacks. It reminds me a few years ago when they made all the changes going into I believe it was WOD when that class took a dump.
Well, in this thread is because we are in the Paladin forums so naturally this is where we voice concerns and feedback for Paladin specs.
Thereâs the Monk forums where all the concerns about WW can be shared and explained in detail, I wouldnât expect players over there to talk about Paladin issues. Now if players at the Monk forums are expressing their concerns with their spec that I donât know, I havenât been keeping much track of whatâs going on with Monks (or shamans).

There wonât be any time left for a ret âreworkâ after them trying night fae blessings get to work.
I remember people hoping for a rework in BfA beta. Never happened, besides some minor tweaks and the change to our mastery.
To be fair specs like spriest deserved an overhaul much more than we did. that being said Iâm nontheless disappointed how ret shapes up, but it was somewhat expected.

I would kill for them to give Ret the Enh treatment and change us to Wrath Ret. Iâd love for them to ditch an awful system like Holy Power and replace it with anything or nothing. Iâd even take Enhâs old Maelstrom system and call it Wrath or something lame like that. Having pointlessly much of a resource that procs all the time works fine for Ret. Itâs like a functional version of Holy Power once you have enough gear except you donât have to get enough Haste/have Crusade up to actually push buttons.
Iâm hoping and dreaming of the day Ret gets that rework like Shadow or Enh got. I donât want to just play a weaker version of Ret now with a couple of borrowed power things baked in, even granting this is an improvement of Legion into BFA which was just those borrowed power things replaced with nothing. I donât even think the Enh rework is even that good for Enh but I would smite anyone to get Wrath Ret back. Shadowâs redesign isnât a nostalgic romp but it looks good and a lot of Shadow priests like it so who knows? Alls I know is they canât make Ret worse by removing Holy Power.

Well lets look at WW. You get movement that is as good or better than dhâs one of your primary defensives redirects damage to an enemy of your choice. Which you can abuse for damage. Your almost DH 1.0 and the class of DH is 2.0.
And for having it worse than enh. At least you have actual defensives. Enhancement Shamanâs defesnives were gutted and they were left with 2 abilties one is purely for pvp and it nerfs our movement speed by 50 and they can not do anything in it but hey they are immune to physical damageâŚBut wait most pvp groups have casters. And then there is their normal ability which reduces damage by 40%. But Enh shamans have no healing to supplement that as Enh healing was nerfed into the ground.
For pvp your class is very strong. I am not sure about pve but a lot of groups will bring the monk for the debuff you apply.

Enhancement got a rotational overhaul. Defense is still horrible, and heals are just as bad. They worked on using other abilities, to get away from the 90% SS spam that was the rotation. Donât get me wrong, the changes look so much better than what we have now, but a complete overhaul is an inaccurate gauge, lol.

Wait is that an ele saying his class isnât viable even though itâs the third best caster in the game, and almost S tier?
The only spec you have that is actually bad is enhance and even then itâs about the same tier as ret 
I promise you, if you think you ele is actually bad thatâs now thatâs gatekeeping you at challenger with your hundreds and hundreds of games played. Itâs not.
