Sadly yeah, nowadays any same sex interaction gets blown out of proportion. Friendships are a thing of the past.
Most likely his partner will be Taelia, but Tess does seem like a match made in the light for him. Well, conceptually at least, not sure if they have ever even talked.

I think this guy answered your question for you.
Any time someone even suggests a gay or lesbian character/partnership, here we are. They’re not allowed to exist in fantasy worlds because to some people, that’s too “forced”.

I don’t need my game which is fun and an escape from life to be made someone’s crusade. The focus should be on fantasy on demons on dragons and fighting the big bad. Not a homosexual pairing.
It’s just unnecessary to the game and story.

Ok? I tend to word my meanings differently.
Who says it is? I don’t understand why liking a particular pairing in a video game is considered a “crusade”. Like I said, anytime anything LGBT is brought up, this type of attitude follows immediately after. They’re just not allowed to exist in fantasy worlds because it’s too hard to believe they’re there, I guess.
