Almost every caster is bad right now. Maybe except warlock, ele, devoker.

Nerfed SP is just a punching bag. Mage is a glass cannon that can’t fire. Balance druid hits like a wet noodle with 40 astral surges hitting people for 20k regular DMG, no dot protection, low dot DMG, low DMG hard cast abilities.

Now name a bad melee spec. Maybe feral after nerfs. Ret still hits hard, but dies rather quickly.

Fury Warrior, Frost DK, Outlaw Rogue, Emhance Shaman. Ret has its place, but is extraordinarily meh. Same with Subtlety.

SP isn’t bad or even close to. Mages aren’t bad. Boomi is literally the highest DPS spec in RSS currently.

Good boomkins consistently double my damage or more in arena. It honestly just blows my mind how people come to these opinions. You can just look at the ladder and get an idea of what is doing well. Rep doesn’t mean much these days either, at least not like in the past.

In PVE this is a great thing to top DPS charts. I can pop starfall all day run around and be top DPS in every PvP scenario, I am not doing anything though.

Unless you play a high ranked balance druid yourself be quiet

Lmao. I agree overall melee is a bit stronger than ranged atm, but saying almost every caster is bad!? Mate you are on some weapons-grade copium… and this is coming from someone who exclusively plays ranged specs, no melee bias here.

Shadow Priest
MM hunter (basically a caster with a bow)

are all good right now, along with lock, ele & dragons as you mention.

In reality it’s quicker to list the weak casters than the good ones. Fire mage is hurting for sure and moon wizards aren’t in a great spot. Otherwise tho ranged is pretty strong.

For sure, but BM can’t be considered a caster by any metric.

MM is kind of a pseudo-caster, not really an actual caster but closer to one than BM is. That’s why I mentioned MM and not BM, he was talking about casters being weak.

Could be. TBH I just haven’t seen hardly any of them, in RBGs or arenas, so hard to say. The ones I do see don’t seem to be very impactful, but could be just haven’t come across many good ones.

Word. Bm is just a ranged melee.

Personally don’t think mm is doing that great right now though. Damage is high with buffs but so trainable and disruptable by melee. Arena specifically that is.

I dunno that I’d say it’s great either. My main is MM, has been since cata. Trust me I understand the struggle of trying to get damage off while a couple melee take up permeant residence inside your rectum. It ain’t fun.

But I don’t know that you can say it’s bad, which is the comment I was replying to said.

IMO it’s solid. Not amazing but if we can cast a bit in the back of a fight can pump out some very high damage. And we are squishy but have a pretty good utility toolkit.
