I swear at this rate all of jokes are just going to be generic jokes from the book you can find at the dollar store.

I think they just feel cheated with how so many of them sincerely and truly wanted in their hearts this customization option, and then Blizzard goes and does this to them.

For a long time they all kind of just bonded with eachother about it, especially in that darn thread and felt like as an army of posts and ceaseless demanding that they were winning. They recently got excited about getting it over 10k replies, waiting on that Blue Post.

Well they got the Blue Post. A mocking joke directed towards them with zero give to what they wanted. All that effort shut down with a single voiceline.

This is how I see it as well. The people making it about the joke don’t really understand the context behind their frustration.

Is added for the new race. Is the intent of things like this to intentionally mock/belittle/disparage your player base, if so, that’s…not really a good thing to do.

So, this feels to be just plain wrong/mean spirited as there is a very large number of players saying they would like tails as a worgen customization option, and then a joke like

Don’t worry all you have to do is get your renown for the DF factions to max level in the opening patch to open up Worgen Tails.

They shouldn’t be using jokes that ‘poke fun’ at swathes of the player base that have been asking for a cosmetic option for a race that is, frankly, quite lacking in the cosmetic options department.

Worgens have never had tails. Deal with it, get over yourself, and stop complaining about the dumbest crap.

What’s worse than having a bad joke directly targetted to the frustration of players desperatly wanting worgens to have tail? Having this joke completly ruined by replacing ‘‘Tail’’ by ‘‘Claws’’ in the french localisation to avoid any sexual inuendo, because ‘‘Tail’’ translated in french commonly refer to a male body part too. The double side joke would have been so perfect in french, but they ruined it with ‘‘claws’’ which destroy the reference and made this just confusing and boring.

I wonder if they have to change it in the German translations as well since the German word for tail can also be slang for something else.

Yeah for someone and a team of people to approve the condescending voiceline to snub worgen players who want to have more player agency when it comes to customizing their character creation is giving the player base at large the middle finger. It’s immature of the team of people that approved this mockery and they think culturally it’s appropriate to belittle creativity by not allowing for interesting customizations.

It’s disgusting behviour.
