Also layering doesnt change where you get Radiant shards from anyhow. With the short time the instance layer exploit happened before it was addressed, there was not that much time to ruin the economy when it comes to blue disenchanted items. Like a days worth? Even if so. The problem was solved so the supply will dwindle and you would see your prices you want.
That is of course assuming the problem was with the layering problem in dungeons, which its not.
I am also aware greens can give them. But it’s uncommon enough to not consider a reliable source in grand scale of server wide.
Wouldn’t the price go down from the inflated population that we’re now working with? with a lot more people running the content and selling their material, the cost should naturally be lower than what it was back in vanilla.

This will change as time moves forward.
It isn’t simply because of the layering/huge servers. That is a factor, yes, but fiery enchants are still very rare (on my server, at least). Very few people can do it, and very few people can afford one.
The biggest influence on cost is the new-ness of the servers. There simply hasn’t been enough gold generated for circulation in the server economies because most of the server doesn’t have a level 60 toon. Nobody’s making enough gold to pay for a 25g enchant. Well, a few are. Most are not.
Prices will inflate as the economy grows. It’s a patience game.
If we talk about value, however, the 7g you make today will buy pretty much what the 25g on a mature 2006 Vanilla server would buy. It works out.

Not really, Fiery only filled a niche because it was cheap and people couldn’t afford crusader, with Righteous Orbs being so cheap, fiery doesn’t have that much demand. If you do not have pre-raid bis, you don’t really bother with an enchant at all. Once you have your pre-raid bis, you just put a cheap crusader enchant on it. It costs like 40-50g on Herod for crusader enchant.
Which spiders, if you don’t mind? I can barely scrape together a gold and a half before I have to go train and repair… then back to being broke.
The plains creepers I think they’re called along the mountains above refugee point drop a TON of stackable greys.

It’s not layering, it’s the massive server player counts, more players = more drops = more things on the AH = more supply
Right now though not many people are 60 to use these enchants, prices will go up.
Demand is being suppressed by the glut of low level characters, keeping prices low. As was said previously, all these low level characters have no money. As the realms mature the prices will begin to rise.
No. It’s not supply. It’s the lack of demand because everyone is saving for mounts still and almost no one is paying for enchants. It’s the same reason twink lvl gear is cheap, no bgs so no demand, and no one that wants to spend the gold now vs. buying a mount.

Prices are scaling cause theres like 16k people on one server compared to the 1k-4k from vanilla stop posting bull@*!#
why are you whining about AH prices when the game hasn’t even been out for a month yet?
even without layering this was easy to predict. When everyone is in the same place gathering the same resources the prices will be low. Just hang on for now. Less levelers, twinks for BG’s and more raiders/ end game pvp’ers will start to drive the prices up.
BoE rares and epics are super expensive, so it’s not like no one has any gold. A blue lev 30-40ish weapon on my server will be on AH for 20-30g. Blue level 50 weapons are on AH for 100-120g
Mats are dirt cheap tho
When you have 10x the amount of people per server, combined with people that know how to aoe dungeon farm, it will flood the market with materials and drive the cost of those materials down.
This is basic ECON101 level stuff… Nobody is going to really monopolize any market in classic and if they do, it’s not for long. Just look how quickly devilsaur gear is dropping in price…
Was it? seems a little high to me but maybe. I used to farm but never made 28g an hour though i did get tons of epics at times and thats how i got my epic mounts
This is the reseller market in action. No point in trying to resell mats when the market keeps being flooded with them. Maybe in a few months things will normalize.

Simple, don’t play the game then… there… I just fixed the problem.
ITT: I don’t understand how economies work and anyone that tries to explain it to me is a Blizzard shill.
I don’t get why people are complaining about everything being so cheap. Buy high level mats now for next to nothing, and flip them in a week lol.
the OP has multiple threads griping about layering, just fyi.
more people killing more stuff = more tradeskill stuffs
everyone’s saving money for mounts, no one is really spending
thus -> ts mats are cheaper than you remember back then on an established server months into classic vs what we have today. you’re welcome for the explanation.
