HOW DO FATED RAIDS WORK?
Each week, one raid will be marked as Fated. You may enter a Fated raid in any difficulty (Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic or Mythic). Note that while a raid is marked as Fated, you cannot enter its non-Fated version until the following week when another raid becomes Fatedāso plan your transmogrification and achievement runs accordingly! You can find our Fated raid schedule here.
Once you enter a Fated raid, youāll notice that all enemies and bosses will have adjusted statsāthe goal here isnāt to make your raid group go through progression again; weāre aiming to provide a proper but not insurmountable challenge for those already experienced with the encounters.
Each boss encounter will be empowered by one of four unique Fated Powers. These will vary from boss to boss and week to week, presenting challenges for your raid group that reward Fated Infusions, temporary powerful auras for your efforts. Should you conquer any boss in a Fated raid, youāll receive rewards according to the difficulty level youāve completed them in. The item level distribution for Fated raids is as follows:
- Raid Finder: 265-272
- Normal: 278-285
- Heroic: 291-297
- Mythic: 304-311
All gear obtained in Fated raids can be converted into set pieces at the Creation Catalyst.
Look at the part I emphasized. In Blizzards own words from their article about S4 ā any raid difficulty = LFR, Normal, Heroic, Mythic.
So the achievement mount should be awarded in LFR.

I just think blizzard needs to make changes well in advance, not at the last second. Not wait until all the way to tell people, oh yah, by the way, LFR. Not included.
I mean, doesnāt shadowlands season 4 come out in 2 days. Like for real. Why does it still say, clear the fated raids on shadowlands season 4 to get the achievements. They waited way to late to change it to normal mode only. End of story.
It wasnāt set in stone, and was subject to change, as someone told me earlier. But man, do it properly. Change it with well enough time in advance, as to not get your hopes up.
Might as well tell our children they will get the thing they wanted for christmas, and then, 2 days before, be all like, never mind. You donāt get jack. I would rather be told i get nothing from the beginning than at the last second.
Even better, you told your four kids they get the thing they wanted for Christmas, and then, 2 days before, publicly tell one, āI actually donāt like you as much as your siblings.ā You donāt get jack.
All they had to do was give it people enough time to adjust. They dropped the bombshell less than a week before it goes liveā¦ That was stupid.
Keeping it for all difficulties would have hurt no one.
Where were you a month ago when they were announcing it was for all difficulties?
Why werent you whining about Gladiator mounts and all this other nonsense? Because you didnāt care. Now you do? No. youāre just stirring the pot.

Or an analogy in game. We like all of our players, but only the hardcore players on normal Pve raid modes. And the hardcore mythic and heroic raid players.
We also kind of like the casual pvp players, and the rated hardcore pvp players. Hence why they get those vengeful mounts. And the casual ones can have those black war kodos and the black war horses.
But every other player type in this game. Yah. You deserve nothing.

And especially those RP/PVP players. They are so bad, we were strongly thinking about not even giving them a server during classic. That is how bad we think those people are.
The roleplay players are ok though. To be honest, we kind of like these players a bit more than the solo players and the LFR players and the non group creating players. But only slightly.
Also, as much as we like the roleplayers, we are disabling the ability to create groups on these servers from now on. As soon as shadowlands season 4 comes around. Because, i mean, really. If you want to raid and pve, you should pick a PVE server. You are supposed to be roleplaying, not raiding. And we are just straight up removing RP/PVP servers from the game.
You are supposed to be roleplaying, not pvping. You know, creating a character backstory. Getting a mount that fits your roleplay. And a transmog. Not beating the crud out of other players.
We still hate the roleplayers , and the RP/PVP players. But we like the RP players only slightly more than the LFR and solo players. But we really hate the RP/PVP players. I mean, we have arthas and a backstory for this dude and multiple reasons as to why we all want to kill him. I donāt think we need roleplayers creating backstories involving them becoming big baddies with reasons for every other role player in the story wanting to kill them.
I mean, unless you want to end up like that guy who has no life in southpark. His backstory got so strong, he legit was able to overthrow the game developerās. And then was going around killing innocent players. He was also able to kill the admins to. We just cannot allow Roleplayers to become to strong. I mean, create your backstories. Come in dressed in character with your lines memorized, similar to acting in the real world.
This is how roleplaying should be.
In all seriousness, it does feel like the solo players and the LFR players are getting shafted. Blizzard had plenty of time to reword the achievement so no one got their hopes up. Nothing worse than feeling like you might actually have a shot at it, only to, not have a shot at it.
I mean, if they had changed it in alpha. Fine. But 2 days before the season starts. Complete bullcorn. I am actually not sure when it comes out. I would assume in two days, but maybe it is next week. Either way, way to late to make the change. In my op at the very least.

the problem they donāt explain well if need pass each raid in each difficulty or only need pass thatās raids only in any difficulty except LFR.
It really sounds very complicated and iffy, but all Iām going to do is go through second DK main to complete Venthyr quests.
Itās all the āpeasants donāt deserve this thingā crowd have.

Nah, make it mythic only then LFR players know for sure it is out of reach while the tears from the normal-heroic elitists would be so funny to watch as they get a taste of their own medicine.

If you want the reward do the content that gives it, is as simple as that.

It was loaded into retail as a searchable achievement three months ago and stated that it was any difficulty. People anticipated being able to get it in LFR if they stuck around when their guilds inevitably went on hiatus because were in āvacation timeā as far as most people are concerned because this patch doesnāt really bring anything other than rehashed content and they will show back up when the prepatch hits for the obvious reasonsā¦
If it hits the retail client then it is objectively āset in stoneā and there are a select few people who just wanna gate keep the mount because reasons.
Itās all really silly though. I wont be getting this mount because my guild will not have enough players and I donāt like dealing with the dumpsters full of salt pugs I find tend to be. It sucks, I am saddened by it, and will probably let my sub expire instead of sticking around because of this.
Iām on vacation from raiding. We cleared heroic sep on my main account, got almost through all of mythic and we sort of decided as a group to stop because we didnt want anyone to burn out with the Dragonflight launch. Something super casual like what the event appeared to be would have likely kept me subbed until prepatch because I donāt care about titles but the cat mount was something that could keep me playing. I assumed when I first read the achievement it was akin to a āthank you for staying subbed even though we not only shorted you a raid tier but rehashed old contentā but I guess Blizz doesnāt want my 30+ bucks from september to prepatch.
