It’s also competitive in PVE but it’s just one of many build options we have
Yeah, I think there’s just generally less wiggle room in PvP. It’s just not likely you’ll ever get enough charges of Emperor’s Capacitor in a PvP setting to make it the best option.
Yeah Emp seems too slow to build up in on PVP and also forces us to sit still for the channel which also seems bad against other players.
Problem is I would miss FSK too much.
I had the worst time with slicing winds at first because my muscle memory kept reaching for FSK to dip out of situations that were turning against me. Now that I’m used to having it in my rotation, it slaps pretty hard… Especially when you use it immediately following Emperor’s Conduit in a burst window.
I definitely miss FSK, but I’m getting better at doing without it.
For PVP you would just get the one talent you wouldn’t keep going to get the AOE and faster channel.
It’s actually fairly strong for say using that to hit a target that’s trying to run away so instead of chasing them you can just fully channel that.
It also can draw a kick from one of the enemy team letting your healer free cast.
Haven’t tried it and don’t plan on it… considering this is an ability that used to deal damage on it’s own then had the damage removed and later put into a waste of a talent point. It’s kind of a slap in the face.
It’s great for PvP, just not good for PvE. I would be fine with it if it didn’t replace FSK.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but are you upset that they removed the damage from flying serpent kick? Because that was an absolutely pitiful amount, like a hundred times less than a Tiger Palm (that’s not hyperbole).
No, but it was useful in PvP because crackling Jade lightning does not stop flag caps. So using fsk to close the distance and do dmg would stop the cap
Sorry I was under the impression nobody cared about pvp lmao
Only reason I play
It’s the only reason a fair chunk of people play.
Anyway, I don’t take Slicing Winds because I just don’t like it.
I love using Slicing Winds to engage in combat, which makes surviving tricky but it feels awesome.
This. I honestly don’t see why blizzard keeps trying to push sacrificing mobility for damage. People complained up a storm til classes had MORE mobility and they just decided “ya know what get rid of it!” It’s crazy lol
It’s looking like slicing winds is going to be locked in with that 20% buff now.
