So like this only depends on how you define casuals and casuals seem to spread over a lot of different people that play a lot of different ways
I much prefer this form that we currently have where gear is the grind and not stuff like running around like a headless chicken doing dailies to unlock all my essences
Also back in BFA I could gear a toon to heroic ilvl in a week which was good enough for any bit of content I needed to do and was pretty much done at that point
Letâs fast forward a year from now whoosh
Alright everyone is 250 ilvl and loot drops in the exact same way, what makes you think that people wonât have a problem with it then vs now?
People are too loot brained, they just want BiS 3 weeks in. It takes time to build up a good set of gear, and it takes a lot of luck which can be aided with the Vault. I think if all people play for is a loot simulator, thereâs better games for that. People enjoy the game with or without loot.
Oh, itâs safe to assume that people would have a problem if gold dropped out of the sky straight into their 40 slot bags. Some people just want to watch the Forums burn
people canât be genuinely happy with the game on the forums. if weâre not rabid at the mouth over every little thing weâre fanboys shills etc. also you can be a casual raider. or a casual WQer. or any other number of things. i am a casual and couldnât give less of a crap about mythic+ loot tbh.
The thing is theyâll always need new gear and if the drop rate stays the same the problem (for them) will always be there always to be complained about forever. They arenât going to reach a certain point of gear and say âman Iâm much stronger than I was at the start of the xpac, I donât really need loot anymoreâ no itâs never going to end.
These types of players werenât going to last long anyways, and theyâll complain if they do last that long and thatâs alright but we shouldnât go back to BfA loot because they ran 2 dungeons and it didnât drop everything they wanted.
Yes, you wonât get the same item, and presumably item slot from a given layer (Mythic +, raid, pvp). But I havenât seen any references to that safety net crossing vault layersâŠi.e. you could get a raiding bracer, mythic + bracer, and pvp bracer.
I hear you. Iâm in the same boat as you. Playing with other people (aside from grouping to take on world bosses or whatever) is the closest Iâll get to any kind of âmultiplayerâ content. I understand thatâs what others like, but I guess Iâm just not that casual enough for thatâŠ
iâve been having fun doing random bgs. loot will come when it comes. i have a guild with my wife but i donât do stuff with them really. i have a lot of fun doing my own thing.
Well the bright side is no content is unnecessarily mandatory. WQs will scale up with renown levels so eventually you will gear up faster as time goes by.
I would agree that blizzard has moved to design the game to please the streaming and raiding community. Yea there are one or two disagreements (like master loot and ripcord) but pretty much everything else has been designed for what streaming and raiding community asked for.
Iâve been having fun, but there is no way I can be competitive in todayâs wow. So many peeps play over 6 hours per say. I took two days off work, and I was something like 1,600,000th to hit 60. So it seems that 50% of players, treat this game as the only, and end all method of self actualization, rather than a fun diversion from reality. Wow isnt my life, but I do like to have fun. In my opinion, time needs to be gated even more than it is.
itâs a game. itâs fun to spend time doing it but i have things irl that make me feel proud of myself. i like to earn my gear at my own pace. not going for world first or anything. then again iâm 36 and have been playing since the beginning. wow is a much different game now than it used to be. you either adapt or move on.
