SL: pick the correct cov or get shafted

Don’t know APA but I do know of IPA . Hey any steward whose name sounds like a beer is good in my book

And it is funny how many people I have seen since the xpac released have now come out and said pull the ripcord that were against it before.

Most people are idiots and can’t put 2 and 2 together. They are the majority on the forums.

your mom emailed me that she was disappointed when you picked pico and she has removed you from the family tree secretly!

She has also given me permission to make you into some juicy steaks.
(j/k ofc)

depends.
Mission board wise Kyrian/vamps struggle to make it work within what game lets them do. (even massively out lving isnt a sure thing)

convoke’s versatility is a huge perk.
it gives multi role specs a powerful dps/healing/tanking cooldown.

comapre convoke vs fleshcraft for example

each have 4sec channels.
convoke will massively out perform the fleshcraft even when sued by a high hp tank. (as convokes used ksills will generally always beat the mere shield absorb of fleshcraft)

i got no real issue with the difference between the individual powers. (variety is nice)
just how they punish you by not making it clear on the difficulty of swapping and its cost on top of severely harming classes like pally/druid/shammy where their preferred power is not same as their other specs
ur shafted since they punish you for changing if decide to use other spec.

Lore wise doesntm ake sense either.

Maw walker helped and (temporarily) joined every one of them w/o issue.
Why would they be upset if u decide to help another group when its for the benefit of the entire Shadowlands stability?

My only concern is if the difference in DPS between Rogue covenant choices grows as the expansion continues. Right now it’s hardly noticeable so it would be nice if it stays that way. Night Fae has a slight edge but at most by only a couple hundred DPS, per sims.

:frowning:

Just wanted to be a vampire countess in peace! But for that xtra mobility and dmg I need the fairies.

I picked Pico on the beta before he was the hip new steward everyone picked and I refuse to change.

Question where in the h did they get these names for the stewards? Mine popplos or something like that.

You know I originally went with what I wanted to go which was venthyr on my hunter

Ended up getting little value out of my ability’s and swapped over the kyrian and it was VASTY better in every aspect of the game

This RPG element is nonsense

Well, wow is an MMORPG.

RPG elements are great, but not when they clash with MMO elements.

Which is the problem we’re seeing with covenants.

I was on the whole train of ‘covenants are bad choices, wtf’ for a while. I chose a ‘suboptimal’ covenant by going Venthyr as Kyrian is apparently better for both survivability (pots and cures), the sigil with synergy with my tank spec and a fast dps cooldown.

I realise now it’s not as big a deal as people are saying, over the course of a run it matters more ‘how’ you’re using your skills. Me knowing my sinful brand scales off haste makes it an even stronger CD after eyebeam, I’m able to time my meta to get large AoE sinfuls and in PvP I get an even faster meta to do AoE sinful every 2 minutes.

This is just my DH as an example , two of my characters are on ‘sub optimal’ covenants and do just fine. Might be a different case if I was going for cutting edge mythic raid, but I ain’t.

Doesn’t matter as a Warrior.

You have a broken leg no matter what you choose.

To be fair, you don’t have to play with people who this matters to. If you like to play with these kinds of people then picking the meta covenant for your class/spec shouldn’t really bother you.

Perhaps we’re reading different threads, but I didn’t see anyone defending corruption.

Lol.

Thats not a fair comparison, flesh craft is your second one, like soulshape would be.

So compare convoke to the unending dot I think it is for necro druids.

It’d be nice if the covenants were at least somewhat balanced, like necrolord covenants having their first soulbind literally useless in some content.

My mom sure is channeling her inner Grinch this year!

To be fair the best performing specs of 8.3 were the ones that did not rely upon proc based corruption. Only tanks, hpally (ineffable) and havoc because of furious gaze had reliable performance with proc based corruption.

Arena it was whoever could at first have the most vers to survive wizards and gushing glad rogues. But after conflict and vers nerfs, wizard and leather specs pulled ahead.

Ahhh but people keep saying ”chose what you want!”

A necrolord warlock?

Perhaps you did not read OP at all , talking about SL taking the crowns for most annoying borrowed powers which corruption was a BFA borrowed powers .
