SL *might* be getting the secondary WoD treatment

My favorite era of pvp system was MoP deftly. Won’t argue it’s great but its better than Legion and BFA.

I agree with this…

By trying to make fun of me? You weren’t being critical you were using 2nd grade mocking techniques. That’s bad faith derogatory arguing if there is any.

Oh people hate everything. No matter what Blizz does or what patch/expansion we’re in there’s always a faction of players who hates everything about it. Every era of WoW has been touted as the “worst expansion ever” around here. It’s not unique to SL.

But there are also many players who do enjoy it. Shadowlands has a lot of fans, it’s not universally despised. You might dislike it, but that’s just one opinion among many others.

I think SL is going fine and has solid potential moving forward. The content drought was unfortunate, but the content itself isn’t bad. It’s improved in a lot of ways over BfA.

Yeah I too like to know how much tin foil you used to create this theory

You’re honestly going to type that after what you said in the OP? You don’t see the irony in this do you?

Title statement seems unlikely.

I never said it was the worst, just that it’s bad by WoW standards. Meaning, when compared to other expansions, SL is found lacking.

All the talented devs left, this game is on maintenance mode. Expect even more soulless expansions every two years that are filled with even more terrible systems no one wants. I can only imagine how low morale is for the people working on this trash heap.

My OP is a theory. It also is objective, I’m not bashing, I’m looking at the expansion, the seeming disinterest and lack of effort from the dev team, and correlating it with the similarities with WoD. It’s literally a hypothesis. You came to Blizzard defense with an insulting response.

Edit: if anything my OP is wishful thinking, hoping for another expansion that shakes things up and brings excitement like Legion did after WoD.

These are not the words you use when discussing a theory. This is what you say when you want to force your opinion on others and shut out any discussion for opposing thought.

I hope SL gets the WoD treatment. I can’t see this expansion going until 2023.

Not really no, because if you can look at things objectively (meaning without emotional bias) you can see that SL is comparatively worse than the more successful expansions. Anyone should be able to see this, I’m not trying to tell a super successful games playerbase that their game is bad, I’m observing that the game has seen better days. How is that forcing anyone to follow my thinking?

It’s no Legion, but this expansion has been a huge improvement over BfA. I’ve enjoyed most expansions. WoD and BfA are the two huge, terrible exceptions.

So you’re doing this subconsciously now? You don’t even realize you’re trying to use your opinion as being objective.

I wouldn’t be surprised. General Discussion called it last year. Blizzard then fed social media types the line that SL wouldn’t be WoD-ized. Almost like using them to spread disinformation in retrospect?

SL is bad and alot of people left , Blizzard messed up bad, but you still have people that will defend Blizz and say that its the best ex pack they ever play… i just lol at those people

Not going to keep arguing with someone who’s trying to make me look bad because he disagrees with me. Just not going to, if you can’t put aside pride to look at things you’re going to just keep badgering me. Enjoy joining my ignore list.

This is a terrible argument considering these forums haven’t been consistent on what a “wow standard” is in over 10 years.

Blizzard has said a number of times in past years that expansions are worked on a long time in advance. They don’t do the design and construction of major content during the expansion, that is done months, sometimes years, before launch. Certainly lesser aspects of it are worked on during the expac but to say that they have a “skeleton crew” working on it isn’t what I would believe. A lack of ‘meaningful content’ is more an overall lack of creativity than a lack of man(or woman)power.

Will they cut the expansion short? Its possible, anything is possible at this point. An author once told me, when we talking about writing, that if you find that something you have written is bad then, no matter how fond you are of it, it has to go. The same thing applies to games. If they find its bad, they may decide to pull the plug early.
