So if I have to use a wheelchair because I am disabled everyone else should be required to as well? Btw you put me on ignore, why are you responding to me.
That would seem to be Lio’s position in this thread.
If any one person can’t do something, then nobody should be able to do it.
Lol…when you cant win the argument, let the false flag bombing begin lol
Lemons were handed to me four and a half years ago. I have neurological and physical disabilities now. I’ve described what I went through to learn dynamic flying. How long it took me and that I still have problems with it.
I was not happy that they didn’t make all of dragonflight accessible from the ground. And we had no option for static flight back then until the last major patch of the expansion.
War Within is entirely accessible from the ground and with other very easy ways to get around.
And with my disabilities, many days mean I can’t use dynamic flying.
But I understand why static flying is behind an unlock. And this is the best way to unlock it and the fastest we’ve ever had.
Blizzard wants immersion into their content the way they want it. Dynamic flying has given us vertical content and a more immersive experience with flying, according to them. And that’s what they want. They have made the expansion accessible to everyone who cannot use dynamic flying. We finish the base campaign their way, then we unlock static flying.
Every single expansion has had some sort of unlock— Cata is the only one to have that unlock be prior to max level or finishing a campaign, because it was needed to traverse zones.
Thus why War Within is completely traversable without flying. And the base campaign is all it takes to unlock static.
I am of the mindset that we can help people with ideas and things to try to help get the campaign done. But Blizz isn’t removing the unlock on static flying. And next patch there is no flying whatsoever.
Better to help people than demean them.
You can do everything grounded, quit trolling.
because it doesnt affect you, obviously.
DF was less than an hours questing for dragonriding and what…10 months for steady flight? lol.
Lets try to be transparent.
thats what we’re doing…trying to get blizzard to rid this game of PF …less than 3 days worth…for the accessibility mode of flight.
We ARE trying to help.
Others in here just keep trying to rationalize why its ok to make disabled players work for their chosen flight mode.
Then I propose we get rid of pathfinder, and revert steady flying to how it was in Mists of Pandaria.
sorry but S and another poster made it clear that ignores arent relevant anymore.
you posted publicly, I responded.
The details were pretty easily understood. I get it that the personal agenda doesnt allow them to be as clear as they are.
The Coreway is simple without flying: fall off the edge on a dynamic mount, land at bottom. Run the rest of the way. Then use the portal unlock for AK or the two different elevators to get down to Ringing Deeps and avoid the Coreway entirely.
There are flightpaths. There’s a blimp thingy. There’s running in and out of portals and elevators. It’s actually quite fun. And I’ve had to use those methods often.
Getting to Ringing deeps now can also be done by bouncing through siren isle.
Go to the Dornogol blimp to siren isle, to siren isle, jump off blimp, talk to the mole machine, arrive in ringing deeps.
I guess if one had an agenda they might have taken that away from the example I presented above.
it was very clear, as was the obvious point made.
That I didn’t know! Do tell!
Truth is coming out though and they can’t hide truth no matter how hard they try.
This is because any sensible person understands that both should be available at the same time. Trying to score brownie points by sticking to disabled gamers doesn’t make sense to me IMVHO.
Just put it in,
Because since it was added in TBC it was behind an unlock, and because Blizzard wants people engaging with the game.

DF was less than an hours questing for dragonriding and what…10 months for steady flight?
This was a problem. DF was built with the expectation of flying and did not offer taxi services. That’s not a problem in any regard now though.

We ARE trying to help.
You’re trying to help yourself and insulting and demeaning anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

ok…but doesnt that sort of thing affect everyone the same? Like the areas where it warns us we’re about to be shot down and get onto the ground?
I dont see any favoritism in those…where one group can keep flying with no threat, but others get shot down.
I like those areas myself, but they arent relevant to this discussion.
Steady flight is my default mode to get around. Skyriding needs a hover mode for me to use it more often.
I play on a laptop with no mouse and hated the DF Rubyshrine campaign quest that forced you to jump off the ledge and go thru the rings to progress. Because of my prefered no mouse playstyle I will never be doing the races but I use skyriding just fine when I want or need to.
As for the topic of the thread, there are some ugly comments in here that would never pass the vibe check in the real world. Not EVERYTHING in the game has to be a sweaty competiton, you know? This isn’t MDI or a world first mythic raiding. It’s steady flight vs. skyriding. Try turning down that mentality when someone is merely advocating for getting around easier in the game.
Why did this get flagged? What is wrong with this community these days.
Click to move acts weird with sky riding.

I like regular flight too if I run out of vigor from sky riding and can’t fly for a few.
Also sometimes going slower i cam scout for quest items.
TBC normal flying is a better way to enjoy TWW with how it is designed like a hop skip from quest to quest as the maps are very small and nothing like DF maps.
