Skyborne Elves will probably never be in the retail version of WoW. I think lorewise they only exist in the Forever canon and they either never existed in the retail canon or were wiped out at some point.

Skyborne fill the Blood Elf void that will exist in Forever.
There’s no need for them in Retail, it’s chock full of elves already.

Skyborne Elves
Will be added to the game in The Last Titan expansion.
We will need the Skyborne elves to make it back to Northrend. The seas around the continent have been locked in ice. And the persistent blizzard, makes it near impossible to traverse the frozen sea by “foot”. With the Skyborne elves reinforced airships and their control of the wind, we will break through the blizzard barrier and see a changed Northernd.

Because elemental Eladrin are cool and WoW getting them via wind elves is cool.
They also have new cool voice acting that would be wasted stuck in classic, and druids like many blood elf players have wanted for years.
Sounds like the Kul Tirans need to build some icebreakers.

No thanks. They seem very lame. And I don’t even say that as someone with no interest in playing WoWF. WoWF seems neat, and even interesting and those lame kyrian elves just bring it down.
I wouldn’t call it cool, we’ve been asking for races like Ogres for 20 years and we just keep getting more pretty elf slop, more high elves. Where are the Ogres? Where the Tuskar? Where are the Gnolls? Where is ANYTHING ELSE?!?! The designerss and dev team are the most unoriginal and unimaginative people I’ve ever seen.

Not sure I need the new race but I would be interested in getting the zone.
You will most likely have to incorporate iron horde technology.
I think it only makes sense unless there’s a lore reason they can’t be in retail
But I have my Runed Band of the Kirin Tor. Magic > weather!
