I would like to start a new class but there is no way i’m going through exile’s reach again. Is there a way to pass this horrible step? Something to send you to your starting zone? I have no clue why this is forced on you. LOOK LEFT OR RIGHT…no, you can’t use edit mode. is there a new string or something to skip the step? anyone?
when you create the character you can choose between exile’s reach or your racial/class starting zone
No, if you select Exile’s Reach you must complete it.
So long as it is not your first character you can select the racial starting zone instead of Exile’s Reach, where you will start at level 1 like normal but be able to immediately start your own questing off the island. I find this to be slower personally, as Exile’s Reach is more streamlined as well as providing a better spread of items and more gold, but it does mean you won’t be locked in and can level up however you would like.
Obviously, Goblins, Pandaren, and Worgen are still going to be locked into their zones, as they are also locked into the questing. Goblin zone took me until ~23 to finish, Worgen was a similar length.
It depends on which race you choose. The Undead/Forshaken starting zone is probably the shortest one
As far as I understand it, once a new player gets to a certain point or level (cant remember where, possibly to cap?) any new characters can be made either via Exiles Reach or the racial starter zone.
Exceptions are things like Vulpera, which just appear at level 10 in Org. The other allied races are similar, there is no starter zone for them, they just pop into existence in certain racial locations.
Allied races can skip Exiles but start at level 10. Other older races can pick between Exiles or their starting zone.
i honestly dont see why they just have every race start at level 10, pick your spec and just go
Pandaren has the longest starting zone. I didn’t leave until level 29… lol
I think maybe the Goblin one had the Pandaren beat. You had to quest in two zones and it felt like it tooks years…
Simply make a new character. Pay attention to the screen, it will give you a choice between Exiles Reach and your racial starting zone. Keep in mind, if you accidentally select Exiles Reach, there is no going back…so just pay attention.
Just delete and remake the character. =P
/run C_Tutorial. AbandonTutorialArea()
That will remove you from Exile’s Reach.
Am I weird for farming out exhiles?
Easily the best place to level just because of how fast it is.
I think the highest I’ve gotten is 13 before leaving.
Every new character I make is an allied race these days because I hate the 1-10 tutorial levels. Should be able to skip them tbh.
To me Exile’s Reach feels like a Potemkin village. It’s fast but it feels like I’m playing a cheap rip-off of WoW rather than playing WoW.
What else can ya do but laugh.
Yea no its awful in terms of the wow feel lol.
It doesn’t do an amazing job of teaching things either. Its a bit too rushed.
But I do find it hilarious that I can farm the training dummies on the ship until level 10
Also if you used an edit mode command to force the ui open, since its disabled. You can break your ui.
Fun times lol.
Honestly, they should’ve put the Exile’s Reach tutorial stuff in the racial starting zones, or like let you immediately zip through them in Chromie time afterwards, just so folks know what is going on, instead of dumping them straight into BFA.
While I love Goblins for…reasons…I would never start one again if I had no option other than their starting zone. It’s painful, glitchy, makes little sense to me and less than zero fun. That said, these are my OPINIONS. I’m no expert and don’t even pretend to be.
I love Exile’s Reach because it has actual class quests in it! We need more of those in the game.
