Six weeks timegating on flying in the Siren Isle

this has been known about for awhile, there wasn’t a change.

And ground mounts (:

Oddly enough, I dont recall that much in the way of complaints at the time. It wasn’t a very large island and the only issue was getting to rares for the spawns. But since the time was quite well known, everyone tended to be on the spot ready to try for those nice mounts.

Everyone were using jet packs to get around quickly and then they bailed, stop trying to deny it lol.

Cause there wasn’t any, Mecha was tiny compared to the other zones, we had other means to get around the isle, and it was part of the Pathfinder achievement (I believe, part 2?) to unlock flying.

Also kinda hard to look bad when you’re up against Nazjatar shudder

Still not sure how a race who hasn’t seen the sky in 100k years were flying gate keepers…

… what

What??? People loved the jet-packs. It’s yet another reason why people liked mechagon. Because it had at least some form of flying. A no-flying zone with some sort of engaging mechanic that allows limited flying is better than a zone with no flying at all.

People loved the no flying yet loved the jet pack, sound logic lol

The most offensive thing is it’s just a lazy copy paste from last expansion, which wasn’t fun, in part because they never tuned down the rares and the forbidden reach was abandoned after everyone got their ring

They loved the jet pack because it was fun and allowed flying… what gotcha are you trying to pull?

What does it have in common with Forbidden Reach other than them both being islands?

I’m not sure what your point is. I never said people hate flying??? Mechagon had a limited form of flying that was thematic and had engaging mechanics. So people preferred it to Nazjatar. Which is what I said.

Nobody said people loved Mechagon for an entire expac, lmao. It was a 1 patch zone that at least had engaging limited flying mechanics that eventually had full flying. It didn’t make the mistake WoD made with blanket no flying for no reason at all. Mechagons limited flying made sense since it had the patrolling boss that would target you.

A zone with engaging limited flying that allows you to unlock full flying at some point, is a no flying zone made correctly.

Can’t wait to see what this isle is like when I visit it for the first time 6 weeks after it releases.

Why is anyone surprised? They always add a ground only or timegated zone. Argus, Korthia/maw, Thunder/timeless isles, The one demon isle in Legion had an unlock as did Nazjatar. I sometimes wonder if the people playing this game even enjoy playing and if not why they stick around.

While I don’t think it’s a lazy copy, and I am looking forward to it, Blizz didn’t do themselves any favors remaking almost the exact same ring that the last island had too.

Just have the haters ammo to use

As long as Ion is there, flying will be compromised simply because he hates it.

I don’t use fake flying.

Speak for yourself, mechagon was one of my favorite zones in bfa. And forbidden reach had flying, idk if it was delayed because i took a small break around then. Came back right before 10.1 launched, but i was dragonriding there.

I like sky riding but we don’t need it all the time everywhere.

The new area is designed to explore new ground mount mechanics. That kind of creativity is a good thing.
