in the rings defense, the proc did over 33 million dmg on silken court last night. basically my #4 damage source i think. no other ring could hold up to that. i had to trade 7% crit for 4% haste to equip it.
I just don’t get how blizz thought an item with almost no secondary stats was something people wanted.
A 619 ring is giving over 6k secondary, this ring 2k supposedly
classes with higher APMS are gonna be better off with the proc based damage
Its weak because they dont test anything, get it working and ship it…
They had almost nothing to test.
The zone is tiny with little to no actual content.
2 of the three events heavily punish melee specs.
I can get two abilities off before getting knocked across the room and having to run back to the rare.
Semantics on borrowed power. Corruption was only around for one raid just like the set bonuses for that raid, but Corruption gear was called “borrowed power”. Again, that’s semantics.
The point is that everyone knows it’ll be great once you can get what you want. Problem is you cannot target. You couldn’t target legendaries when they first came out. You couldn’t target corruption pieces when they first came out. And you were basically shafted until you could.
This is no different from that. This was a bad rollout and a bad decision to implement this way. The cacophony of posts share the same view.
thing is it won’t be due to the fact it has no base stats on it, so it will always have the wrong secondaries.
Then you need to itemize your gear better
were you not around for the forbidden reach during dragon flight?
we did the quest, we got the trash ring, you then had to grind for all the stones that go in it because we didnt have “warbound” back then. Then when the next raid season hit, the ring was BIS for most classes.
This “new zone” is really just a repeat of the forbidden reach…
looks at gear
tel me where am I not better itemized for BM, every piece of gear has crit/haste. well besides trinkets and of those trinkets those are in my top 5.
I dont think you realize how much of a secondary stat is on a ring, which would force change the stat on the ring it would give.
Hell i dont even have a ring with crit currently. I would lose over 4k haste just dropping it and it would convert that stat back to crit.
The number one BM Hunter has crit/haste rings with more crit than haste. Removing either of them to equip the ring would still give them Haste. This issue you’re presenting is an issue only with your specific gear loadout
How to fix the ring in one easy step: first gem slot is for a stat combo gem that is crit/haste, mastery/haste, the peerless and all that. First one you pick is free, rest costs the new currency. The other two slots are for the procs.
There. Now the ring is usable day 1, and can be a lot of fun later on.
You’re welcome, Blizzard.
People point to the sims as if everyone is performing even close to a perfect rotation. For the non competitive playerbase which is over 90% this ring will eventually be a performance increase. It will contribute constant performance regardless of how well or poorly people play. It will be a benefit to the players and the groups they join.
They screwed up a bit with gem selection for sure. It is something they could rectify or at at worst will be solved in a week. Sure bring this up but some of the reactions here are so over the top, like touch grass already!
I’m going to get mine recrafted so it looks like an “S” on the ring.
How are you supposed to control rng exactly?
Having secondary stats that are that close together and neither of your rings able to be dropped to avoid the issue is an incredibly niche scenario
Forbidden type stuff
this is nonsense. its worse than any other ring they could also “eventually” get.
