Can we get a setting in the game that blocks whatever language we dont want spammed? for example i need a block Chinese addon because without it my trade chats are SPAMMED with that sh. would be nice to not need an addon to do something as simple as that.

They are not trying to replace all addons. They are targeting the combat related ones. Most of the QOL addons should be fine

yeah i know that but i just think its something they can just add into game without me having to download a specific addon for it
I think the BadBoy addon could already do that
Except they’re not. Customizing the look of things like unit frames and bars, which should fall under QOL, is having its functionality blocked. Even something as simple as customizing the look of your Vigor bar or Combo Point bar is currently not working.
The collateral damage of what they’re doing is currently reaching far beyond just combat.

Where are combo points used outside of combat?
So if Addons can’t read chat in-combat, would that break BadBoy filters in-combat?

I suppose so, but the OP is talking about a different scenario that doesn’t involve combat, and even then who looks at the chat in combat anyway?
