You can forget about it,they wouldn’t change it because it would cause chaos in pvp.
You are never going to get high elves as a playable race.
When void elves were added to the alliance, that ship sailed.
Anything is possible in the future- Ion.
That’s all Alliance dream of but… are there even High Elf Paladins?
As far as I remember most of the High Elves in game are just common folk without any class.
Sigh, well you keep on dreaming I guess
Still spam however.
it is possible but it wouldn’t be an elf that is related to the silver covenant version, maybe an elven population at a different time or different space in the future.
Nah, there’s no way they aren’t going to trot out more. It’s infinite replayability and player goodwill for minimal effort. The money prints itself.
To the topic at hand though, no. Void elves were the final nail in the Silver Covenant coffin. They’re not gonna happen.
They’re mostly mages and hunters, since only Farstriders and Dalaran mages were left outside of Silvermoon after the Third War.
As for paladins, not in canon that I’m aware of. There’s Arator, but he’s only half high-elf.
Nah, void elves are way cooler. It’s just normies that want a slightly shorter human.
There were one or two of them in Wrath (one of them was the Alliance Paladin trainer in Dalaran), and if you’re willing to stretch the umbrella to include Half Elves, there’s Arator the Redeemer.
So it turns out they’re slightly more plentiful than Night Elf and Undead Paladins. Who knew?
I’ve said from the start that if Blizzard had been smart about it, they would have used the Silver Covenant as the basis for the Void Elves, rather than random Blood Elf exiles. Alliance would have had the option to play as the group of Elves that have been on their side for a decade already, with a tragic twist to differentiate them from the Blood Elves. The military arm of the High Elves would be gone, removing that point of contention with the player base. And Void Elves would have more back story than “Uhhh … here’s a guy with a shadow pun name”
Yes, paladins would fit perfect in silver covenant and also shamans/druids too.
This. To truly stamp out the High Elf requests, they should have done that. Going through random exiled Blood Elves route was a very bad idea, and since it is random Blood Elves, there isn’t even any bad blood between established Blood Elves and the Void Elves now, so it felt honestly pointless to go down that route.
I like Void Elves because there’s actually a difference between them and Blood Elves, whereas High Elves are just Blood Elves who didn’t change their name or drink the fel Koolaid. But they definitely needed more than what they got.
Blizzard made a huge mistake in how they handled the Void Elves, and so these threats will continue.
Yes of course, the silver covenant have historically shown a close bond to nature.
Wait, today is not opposite day… or is it?
Speaking of, WTB Drakkari Trolls allied race. I want the big hulking Troll model!
This is exactly why there is a high elf mega thread. It’s a kindness, I’m sorry you can’t see it that way.
So she made a blood elf. Let’s call a spade a spade here. Void elves don’t have natural hair color options.
There is actually nice topic about high elves as druids/shamans with warpaints. They could fit very well in upcoming new alliance race- Silver Covenant.

This is request for Silver Covenant faction as alliance allied race as they are shown ingame.
There is a red color for Void Elves.
So you don’t want High Elves, you want an entirely new, off shoot of Elf with a connection to nature, perhaps with an affinity for Wild Gods, maybe even close enough to the wilds to live in a tree?
Edit:
And from that very thread you linked, they even mentioned there is no lore justification for Shaman or Druid:
Unlikely Classes:
Druid
This theme is strongly ‘Night Elf’. While it could certainly be appropriate for High Elves, and many High Elves have displayed limited nature magic in lore, it likely creates too much design/theme overlap with Night Elves.
How about no to lame elves. Go away.
