All I see is Belves getting access to both dark and fair hair options while void elves for some reason can’t also have access to both
Exactly.
Op’s request is redundant.
You do not remember correctly.
Blood elves got some darker colors of hair and thier death knight colors, like most races.
Their blue eyes that are shared are only the high elf ones, notably the blue without irises and the purple without irises were not and are clearly void specific.
I was honestly disappointed by the “void eyes” they should have gone a lot … voidy-er with them.
aha! Love your name, btw.
I would like some N’zothy ones or Aszhara ones.
I’m also partial to the Starcursed eyes. Like the gems in our heritage armor.
The void purple ones actually work pretty good for a Dark Ranger mog.
Shame I can’t pull this look off on the Horde.
Just about anything would have been better.
You’re not wrong, maybe keep those and add more void-y eyes.
Is that a blood elf head on a dwarf body or a KT?
Stupid fat elvseses… always eatingses, always watchingses
KT
Second and third breakfastez add up
we don’t need elves as fat as me IRL lol
Gotta keep up with brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper, 1st and 2nd desserts too
Excellent post and rock solid reasoning and I would love if they listened.
But it’s not about reason. The developers among many other serious problems clearly have a bug up their rears about giving players this option. They’ve been resisting us for so long it’s clearly at this point a point of pride not to give us what we’ve been asking for. That and the addition of void elves was clearly meant as a way to permanently close off this possibility in an act of pure spite against the portion of players who had been asking for a decade for this specific thing.
Their arguments change as they develop the games in ways that make them obsolete and that makes clear they’re acting out the part of petulant children who might as well give the answer of “we just don’t want to, we don’t care about player wants, buzz off”.
Anyways I’ve cancelled my sub as a result of Blizzcon and their backpedaling on additional character customization options this expac (on top of a mountain of other complaints as an RPer). And I let it be known to them as I’ll let it be known now that one of the few things that might make me feel valued as a customer again enough to start playing a game I’ve been continuously subbed to for the last decade would be the addition of high elves as a playable race on alliance. I’ve taken breaks before but never unsubbed and I know now that once I leave I’ll probably mostly forget about the game. I know tons of people who have left, my btag friends list is full of last online a month to six months, to a year ago types and I’ve kept in contact with some of them out of game and they just feel Blizzard doesn’t really care to try anymore, in story, in producing engaging content that doesn’t feel a bore, in keeping the game maintained to an acceptable standard with new character customizations and interesting mogs, events, etc.
This is one of those things that would take relatively little effort to implement too and would buy them good will. But as I said I think at this point it’s a point of pride for the devs not to give in on this. Soon it won’t be my problem either.
have a nice break
I never mentioned Night Elves once besides an example for a sub race style creation system, so I truely have no idea what you are on about here, while WC3 Curse of the Blood Elves was my favourite part of WC3, love Kael’thas.
The lore after that moving into WoW gets so dodgy, 90% extinct, yet their are High Elves everywhere, Burning Crusade footholds, WotlK with the Silver Covenant in Northrend/Dalaran, MoP with Isle of Thunder, even Legion when they assisted in Suramar…
I just like to go back to consistency more then anything else, for a truely nearly extinct race Alliance High Elves have popped up more then anything, more then Gnomes, Dwarves, Draenei all through lore and WoW… Literally outside of the factions leaders for said races, Silver Covenant has done way more then other playable races.
Heck the arguement about them nearly being extinct makes no sense when literally “Void Elves” are a tiny team of an already nearly extinct race…
Edit: to clarify I’ve never seen lotr, I hear the movies are way too long for my liking and never got into the mmo as I was busy with WoW , but I appreciate the compliment I could be a fan of something I have no idea about
The Alliance must die!
yes there are. in dalaran and quel’thalas. they function nearly the same as they always have. and outside of these 2 places they are an extremely rare sight and always mistaken for blood elves(unless you play horde ofc)
as for the SC(lol) everyone here knows they are merely a distinct part of the kirin tor not the alliance. isle of thunder suramar appearances? the common connector here is the dalaran npcs and the leader of the kirin tor and if the kirin tor are absent so are the SC. if you are still confused development have already come out and confirmed theres only a few actual alliance ‘high’ elves and they dont support the alliance in the same capacity as, and this was their example, the void elves. that they arent out there like that. if SC was alliance and lived in say SW they wouldnt have said this
so youre just flat out rejecting the lore and development at this point. stick to spamming the void elf threads, you guys cant even argue honestly
