DX11 will fix the issue but the problem is you will have significantly less FPS with DX11 over DX12
I think thatâs been pointed out already.
So people should play with broken graphics and their game window sometimes closing rather than suffering FPS loss?
Iâm a multiboxer x8 and this problem is so annoying at this point. My vram gets to 99 % and the game just starts glitching out. After a certain point i just donât care anymore and keep playing. I find it to be a challenge to play with rainbows all over. Restarting always fixes the problem but the more places i see the worse it gets. Itâs amazing they canât figure this out or even acknowledge it. Download a program called hwmonitor or anything that will tell you your vram usage. Dx11 is not a option for me as i can barely run that many accounts on 12 lol
My GeForce Experience seems to have been fixed. Hope the issue resolves itself for everyone else!
This fixed all the issues I was having ty so much dude it was barely playable <3
I also have this problem. Please respond.
I do not want to have to stay on DX11 just so I donât have severe screen flickering and game crashes. This is the only game on my system that I have DX12 issues with.
I am also having this Issue, only in WoW, and only since Dragonflight.
Some very temporary work arounds I have been using :
-change to Dx11, not ideal by any means but it does stop the issue.
-on rare occasion a /reload fixes it.
-going into your graphics settings in game and changing the GPU option from Auto to your GPU name fixes it, but only temporarily.
Would really love some Blue acknowledgement on this, its happening to many of us.
You can just run /console gxrestart
and it will reboot the graphics end of the engine. Changing the GPU option basically runs this command as well, since it has to restart the graphics engine. You can make a macro of the command if youâd like.
There are a few other games that this has been an issue with lately, so itâs not just WoW. I saw some in Warzone 2 the other day.
I am on Windows 10.
Its funny these issues keep re appearing in the last 4 years makes you wonder are Nvidia drivers truely bad or is Blizzard sabotaging the game on Nvidia gpuâs altho its probably the drivers, Nvidia has been lazy fixing their drivers for quite some time now, i just cant imagine Blizzard willingly sabotaging game on gpuâs that have like almost 99% market share.
Recently finished my S.O.âs build. I am watching them play right now. I am in awe; They have a 4080 and have no issues using DX12 in WoW.
My 3080 just isnât good enough I see.
Anyone with 4000 cards with DX12 problems in WoW?
That is a fabulous command I did not know existed, thank you kindly!
I will be using that until a solution or update.
I seem to be having these same issues in WotLK Classic. RTX 3080, new card.
Iâve had this issue for at least a year, probably longer, and never use AA. I have a 4K 32" Viewsonic monitor and donât feel AA is of any use at that scale/resolution.
It isnât the drivers, Iâve got the latest and have done the full clean reinstall in safe mode and all that. Doesnât help. The issue is pretty clearly some kind of texture or shader corruption on Blizzardâs side of things. It might just be near impossible for them to track it down, or whoever is responsible knows and doesnât want to say. I worked in game dev for like 15 years⌠Thatâs usually how bugs like this persist in big titles.
Ainât the âgpu dyingâ as some are saying, either. I have a brand new 2022 Asus M16 w/ 3070ti. No way my new system is crapping out already - and as others are also saying, this only happens in WoW.
I too have the flickering issue with AA off, maybe not for a year but certainly before pre-patch; issue only persists on Dx12 for me.
IMO, the Oribos center light beam and the trees in DF and Suramar are the worst offenders.
I have the same problem, I have a gtx 1650.
The only permanent solution I found was to switch to DX11, but you lose fps.
When i had flickering i found out that clearing shader cache fixed it but at this point i was getting a 6900 XT delivered the next week already anyway, curious to know if clearing shader cache fixes the problem still
i am experiencing this issue as well with a 3080 ti.
blizzard, please provide a response.
Still having this issue on the newest patch.
Windows 10
RTX 3070
Drivers: 358.02
WoW: 10.0.2.47213
my PC was freezing for 30-60 sec at a time on DX12. I have been using DX11 for a few hours now with no issues so Iâm guessing itâs tied to DX12.
