Silence False Flaggers

The flagging system is automated.

or they could simply give each poster their own ignore option and it only hides the comment they dont like from their own screen that way it allows them to remove anyone they don’t agree with but it limits the power to just their screen and doesn’t give them power to abuse

they don’t like the opinions of others fine mute them and move on no drama no crying and everyone goes on about their own business

I think people have grown hyper sensitive to what they find annoying. Example: Reddit is filled to the brim with one liners and meme’s, but in general it’s all taken with a grain of salt and it’s all in good fun. However if you tried to pull a wow meme off in here it gets auto silenced quickly with a vendetta I have never seen before. It’s almost impressive with how fast it is. I’ve seen a few slide thru regularly without getting wacked but they are generally liked by everyone.

It’s funny only the 2nd poster is allowed to have a sence of humor with a good zinger, never the person who makes the post.

That being said my pants are corrupted! (snickers)

I agree with that but the whole “safe space” and “grow thicker skin” arguments fall flat when you realize what platform they are being used on.

Silenceing something just cus you disagree with it is wrong but silenceing general harassment and other toxic behavior is not.

I have had things removed that had no ill intentions. Just an expression of an opinion that is contrary to others. So, you know, there’s that.

Pardon me Mam, but my knowledge of buzzwords, memes and anything else young and hip is very poor. Could you please explain what exactly a frozen peach is? It sounds so funny so my curiosity got the best of me. :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s all well and good if people aren’t being silenced because they hurt someone’s “feefees” over the internet. Which, unfortunately, is what has been deemed harassment and toxicity these days.

I agree. Many topics to include is LGBT. I dunno why the trolls are out on this but its quite ashame. Blizzard needs to act on this swiftly.

they can say what they want… it doesn’t mean it’s going to be tolerated by the community as a whole.

every now and again, extremely nasty/angry people come along and feel the need be overly aggressive and call people names, when everyone else is just having an exchange of opinions.
Those people deserve to get nuked.

…but nobody should be flagging simply due to a difference of opinion.
it defeats the point of a discussion.

millions of peaches? peaches for me?

The infection must be purged from all spaces. Allowing the crybullies any space at all where they have influence is just wrong.

I agree with this. Basically, more moderator policing needs to happen. I’ve had this happen to me when it shouldn’t have and if the moderators were more involved, certain individuals would have straightened up or get banned. Simple as.

From experience, if you are “falsely” flagged, a CM will review your flag and revert it. I recently had a funny gif flagged by haters, but since the gif didn’t break any CoC, it was reverted and I am fine.

With that being said, if you are constantly being flagged, I am sorry to say that there is no conspiracy out there, you just may have to sit down and look at how you are expressing yourself. It comes to a point where if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck… well… you know.

At the end of the day even “general discussion” is STILL a forum for World of Warcraft; not a place to push your preferred flavor of political agenda, ideology or conspiracy into which developer is purposely ruining the game. If you stick to CoC you’ll be fine.

I doubt much will become of all of this my Amazonian alstroemeria.

I have been the target of multiple false flags since this new forum went live, and through a series of clever screenshots I was able to prove that my fair loveliness was being targeted by a select group of posters regardless of the content of the post.

Why I was once flagged for providing support to a fair maiden who’s canine companion had recently passed away. No sensual word play, nor harem hi-jinks. No mention of tentacles, love, or the bliss of ecstasy. Simple compassion for another living being burdened by the pain of loss.

If that is enough to be flagged for supposedly inappropriate content, than there is nothing sacred on these forums. Yet here I still stand, despite all of their dour and pitiful attempts to silence my eager love, and here I will continue to stand despite their best efforts.

Do not fret my delectable delights, for the Void is as infinite as my sensual caress. Our passionate cognizant discourse will continue until the heights of rapture leave us both breathless. Forever and always, your loyal Incubus.

Is this Twitter?

:snowflake::peach:!!

But yes, it’s a play on the words ‘free speech’, which when carelessly slurred can sound like “freeze peach”.

I’ve had posts removed because people didn’t like what I said. But I’ve never gotten banned or action-ed against for it. Didn’t even lost TL3

If you’re getting a vacation you did something to deserve it.

Oh lol! That’s funny. Thanks for clarifying!

I usually speak out against those type of threads. I usually have my posts removed. Blizzard is based in California. Enough said on the matter.

I find it really hard to believe this actually happens.
