Significant lag?

Anyone else getting a ton of lag? I’ll hit a spell or interact with an object and it takes several seconds to register. Been like this basically since prepatch. Servers just overloaded?

sometimes i get lag spikes but they are not entirely noticeable. my FPS is running lower then usually atm though. runs at like 60’s with same latenacy as before 60-70ms but my FPS would be 100 before. running an older rig but it should be pushing more then 60fps tbh think it’s the pre patch.

give it some time it will die off OR check your drivers and all that make sure everything is up to date.

If you are using razer products make sure you disconnect from Razer SDK Chroma program by pressing Crtl + Alt + Delete then going into Task Manager and then scroll down the list until you see it. there is 2 of um click both and click End Task. every time you start your computer it will be on so you have to do it otherwise it will make the game lag very hard.

If using Asus Rog MOBO then you need to turn off your Rog Gaming First. just open the app there is a Button slider and turn it off. this one stays off but both the 2 apps/programs are known to cause latency issues with WoW/Classic and has for me.

i worked in IT professionally for close to a decade so i covered all the basics. framerate’s fine too, i’m not even hitting full usage on my gpu or cpu, and my latency to other services is fine, it’s just wow and it’s just been since prepatch.

i’m gonna say it’s probably just servers being overloaded but i wanted to see if anyone else was getting it too. might depend on the server/region.

Try turning your add-ons off such as MoveAnything? That has been reported to cause hiccups in stuttering or lagging gameplay. Maybe this helps?

that’s a good call, i’ll give that a shot

I’ve had some random lag spikes but nothing too crazy. I had a ton of stuttering though, but that seems to be a non issue when I avoid using the battle.net app.

disabling addons didn’t help. i’ll probably just have to deal for a while

I’m getting it too. I really notice it around 5:30ish or so CST is when it seems to really peak for me. It lasts for around 30 minutes to an hour then it tapers off. I think it’s the massive amount of people on at the same time.
Edit: Btw I’m not running any addons atm.

Out of date addons is probably what’s causing the lag. They could be producing so many errors that it’s causing the game to lag when doing certain things. Disable all addons and then enable them one at a time until you get that lag again. That will be your culprit.

disabling addons didn’t change anything. i also already had out of date addons disabled.

Did you disable ALL addons or just a few?

all of them

Legion is borderline unplayable and this started around 6 PM EST yesterday. Pandaria is just as bad if not worse. No issues in Draenor or outside of Chromie time on my main. Please don’t make suggestions for client side troubleshooting as a quick glance at the technical support forum will show that this is a server side issue and Blizz needs to address it.

only happens to me at times in Vale it has almost made me die a few times.

that’s a good call, i’ve been questing in legion. maybe it’s just legion zones.

yeah, even when i just went back to dalaran everything was much more responsive. but doing things in val’sharah is like pulling teeth, stuff can take 5-10 seconds to respond.

Yep. And Pandaria might be worse. Quickly approaching 24 hours of this.

Boo. I was the first day, but haven’t had any issues since then. But I haven’t been to all the zones either. Hopefully they get it sorted for the weekend.

I am getting quite considerable connective lag. Frames are fine. No Addon issues. Just every so often, a action will take 2-5 seconds to register. Almost like the start of BFA all over.
