Siesbarg Mount Issues

  1. He doesnt show the Vigor Buff when you are gaining Vigor. There are NO wind effect graphics on him at all. Normally when you are Flying (Skyriding) there are wind effects that start white, showing movement and then the effects are slightly blue when you are gaining the vigor buff. Siesbarg has NO effects.

  2. Siesbarg is too low on the screen. All other mounts are closer to the center of the screen so you can see the entire mount, tail and all on dragon mounts but siesbarg is half covered by the action bars so you cant really see him. He needs to be moved up. You can clearly see the difference when mounted on a dragon and flying and the when you are mounted on him. He is too low on the screen.

I have additional issues to add to this that affect the viability of the mounts use that. My own previous post describes the issues you’ve mentioned. But I’ve also noticed a problem in regards to the functions of the mount.

So I started playing around to see if other mounts have a similar issues to the ones that Siesbarg.

Some people have mentioned that Siesbarg has a “slower” speed or “slower vigor regeneration”.

Here’s my findings based on some simple testing.

First, as my initial post suggested, the mount does not have the Skyriding/Dragon Riding visual effects.

This means that it can be more difficult to judge what angle you’re need to adjust to get the proper vigor recovery without sacrificing speed/altitude.

Second, the mount seems to have a strange snap function right now. By snap, I mean that the mount will force itself to a leveled position.

This is likely why people are seeing slower travel/ vigor regen. With how big the mount is compared to others, and the lack of visual, the chance to miss this happening is pretty easy.

The snapping is consistent enough to dramatically affect the players ability to use the mount properly if they aren’t aware its happening. But it doesn’t seem to always occur either.

This can be mitigated if you are constantly trying to steer with the RMB held.

Here are some clips to help show what I’m seeing. Look at the wings of Siesbarg and watch when they snap to a level position, thats when the mount is forcing itself to a specific angle.

I tested this against two other mounts that I have that share a similar model. The Amalgam of Rage, and the Sinfall Gravewing.

My best guess is that this mount is likely using an older beta version of the flying system that was added to non-dragon mounts.

There could be a good chance that the Raid mount variants will suffer from the same problems, as they’re likely just recolors.

My worry is that this issue will go unnoticed by blizzard or the greater community and this could leave the mount broken, which will deter people from using it. Like the Amalgam of Rage and the invisibility bug.

PS: Blizzard, please fix the Amalgam of Rage invisibility bug.
