Shows us why sub-free MMO design is better

I wonder if some people thought that blizzard made the world big at launch just so it would take longer to get places so they can “appease the share holders” or “muh time gating”.

No thanks. F2P/B2P mmos are horrible. The quality is bad, the content takes for ever to come out and when it does it is extremely fast to complete, tons of things locked unless you pay for them with real money which a sub mmo would give you included with your whopping $15.

I played pretty much every new mainstream mmo that came out and played to max level and this is when they were all sub based. I also tried them all well after they went f2p and the quality dropped hard. A lot more bugs and ones that never got fixed. Content took forever to come out and when it did, it was extremely easy and fast to complete.

Prime example. SWtOR. I logged on for the first time in like a year or 2 and finished all their new content (all those chapters) within a couple of weeks of only playing maybe 10 hrs a week.

If you don’t like the direction of the game then it is time for you to move on. Making it go f2p isn’t going to change anything except make the game 34289734 times worse.

Plenty of f2p/b2p mmos for you so have at it. Keep that away from WoW though.

I’ve spent way more money on F2P games than I have on WoW by far. GW2 was the only F2P game that I saw which did it right, but you had little to no endgame or patch cycle to keep you entertained for a long period of time. SWTOR was just awful with its F2P stuff.

HAHAHAHAHA… you’re serious?.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
