Same here, tried giving my WoW folder read/write permissions but the settings still wont save in game

Didn’t they convert MoP Classic to retail’s transmog system? If so, they likely broke the old Show Helm/Show Cloak options because the appearances being hidden are now tied to that system. You would have to mog the slots to the Hidden appearance in order to achieve the same effect.
Sounds like a bit of an oversight that they left the options in the menu at all.

Yeah you’re right. The Transmog system won’t even show my desired helm on that side of things either

same, tried everything. it shows my cloak in character pane but not on live model. except when i sit in barber chair i see it. I disabled addons. I made absolute sure not xmog’d. I tried deleting caches for account and characters.

blizzard changed the CVar name. Just another broken thing shipped with 5.5.4
those check marks in the interface shouldn’t even be there with the new retail code.

that being said, having an option to easily toggle off helm/cloak on top of the retail tmog can be nice (if it actually worked)
This has been a super annoying bug. I tried renaming the WTF and cache folders, cvar and even went as far as reinstalling the game which then made me have to re-fix all of my settings and still having the issue. All blizzard could suggest was post on the forums and pray that one of the developers fixed it in a patch.

This is completely bugged. It shows my helm is transmogged to an old helm but the 3D model in the character pane shows the updated helmet that i just transmogged. But doesn’t show on my actual character in game.
Same happening to me here since June 2nd. No solution yet as of today.

Please fix this, I just changed some outfits because I’m not exactly sure how this all works and now I can’t enjoy my legendary cape animation because no matter what I show or hide or UI settings I change I cannot see my cape.
After some fiddling, I can get the animation to play, but not the cape still.
Still no fix, i hope they fix it today, It’s ruining my game experience.

They won’t. I submitted several hundred bug reports about my shamy totem bars not working right in WoTLK Classic. never got fixed for the entire expansion. And I submitted bug reports for how the Broken Isles quest achivement was bugged at the end of the event. I did everything to earn it, I did EARN that achievement….and….I did not get any credit for it because this company is ran by a bunch of script kiddie simpletons who do not know how to code any game properly. They are still too busy doing cube crawls and stealing breast milk to care about fixing the game.
